Here is a look at what Trumpeter has put in the box of its previously announced kit.
Known by its NATO code name SA-4 Ganef, the 2K11 Krug was a medium range surface-to-air missile (SAM) system of the Soviet Union. Developed in the late 1950s, its first variant, Krug-A, entered service in 1967. The Krug-M and Krug-M1 were the succeeding variants that were improvements to its predecessors. The 2K11 was briefly used by the Soviet Army during the war in Afghanistan.

Trumpeter’s Soviet 2K11A TEL w/9M8M Missile "Krug-a" (SA-4 Ganef) features refined details such as a multi-slide molded upper and lower hulls, and individual track links. Kit 09523 contains more than 800 parts in plastic and photo-etched materials. As built, the model stands at 246.6mm (L) by 135.2mm (W).

Those look good! Köszi Gábor! Do you know what has been "modernized" on them? I wonder if the changes are significant compared to what could be built from the kit (I know, that kit was not seen yet).

Changing the wire from analog to digital systems has made a few things, and the rockets have been innovated, rockets have got a gray color, the bullet and heat exposed metal remained clean / stainless steel. The system's vehicles are equipped with 3 colors / stained / stained / grayish black, brown and light green / externally perhaps only SNR / 1S32 / systems change, the old analog TOV-TV target monitoring and tracking system has been replaced by a modern thermal imager , Digital camera and laser range finder unit.

WooHoo!! Mine arrived today...late Christmas present to myself! I do have a question though. In the picture above, what is the little red thing on the wing-tips? I've seen a couple close-ups on Prime Portal and they look like some sort of cover. Are those something that are just on the training / practice missiles and not on live missiles?
