It looks as if there will be a lot of T-54/T-55 variants in the stash in the future I like their business model of packaging two different kits, with and without the interior, since my personal taste is to build with closed hatches. Maybe I should build at least one T-5x with the interior ..... Decisions, decisions .... / Robin

Nice! I also like the variety of finishing options. The second one though (SLA, Negev Desert, early ‘80s) is probably a mistake...

Maybe they had travelled south for a large scale training exercise

given they were supplied from Israeli stocks its not too much of a leap

I think simply the title is wrong. It’s probably an IDF vehicle in the Negev Desert, early ‘80s. It might have been even used for training SLA tankers, but it’s almost certainly not an SLA tank based down there.

[/quote] It's sort of a north/south of the border thing SLA is based in the southern parts of Lebanon, the Negev is in the south of Israel.... Sort of like Canadian tanks in markings for Mojave desert. / Robin

Its odd because the Takom Tiran 4 also has an option for a Negev Desert markings.

Also marked as SLA?

Well, apparently this is it (this picture of the finishing options was taken from MiniArt's website; the capture is indeed slightly different and makes much more sense).
