In this report we present an overview of what we can expect from MiniArt Limited in their increasing range of 1/35th scale building and diorama sets during 2008. The 'visual content' is a mixture of images from their site along with original photos taken during the recent Nuremberg Trade Fair..
Firstly, a few words of explanation for those who may not be familiar with the MiniArt building range.

The kits are produced in Vacuum-Formed styrene, which reproduces a sufficient degree of detail for a building kit, but with the lower tolerances, it is not so good for subjects which require high level of accuracy. The styrene allows normal adhesives to be used. Previously, most building kits available were fabricated in resin, plaster or dental-stone which made for solid structures but with a correspondingly-higher price tag..

The report was compiled using the company's new catalogue along with assistance from the Staff of MiniArt - whose cooperation and help is gratefully acknowledged.

MiniArt Limited 1/35th Scale Building Kits

35503 - NORMANDY CITY BUILDING

35506 - GERMAN CITY BUILDING

35510 - FRENCH VILLAGE HOUSE

35511 - RUINED GARAGE

35513 - FRENCH CAFE

35514 - TILED ROOF

35515 - ARDENNES BUILDING

35516 - SMALL BRIDGE

35518 - SLATE ROOF

Although all of the buildings will generate a lot of interest, perhaps 35514 & 35518 will be of particular interest to those who make their own buildings - roofs are a very difficult area to do convincingly.

Finally, in this report, the Diorama sets. These consist of a scenic base with structure and a section of street.

I know what you mean, but not entirely. Those which only include the base and part of a building are superbly useful in the sense that the cabblestoned roads are very well done indeed. Worth looking at

I love them. what I meant was that they are usefull even to an experienced modeller, if he is too lazy to build a full building

Unfortunately, I still have to work for a living. Money and time are both a very real problem as far as any "modelling" is concerned. Modelling time and parts are very, very precious when I can afford them... And I'm not even an "experienced modeller" but hopefully I'm getting there. Anything that cuts corners and produces what I want is very welcome.
