About Alan McNeilly (AlanL)
FROM: ENGLAND - EAST ANGLIA, UNITED KINGDOM

Greying slightly, but young at heart. I've been teaching adults off and on for most of my life. Left the services in 85 and first started modelling in about 87 for a few years. Then I had a long spell when I didn't build anything (too busy) and really just got started again during the summer of ...

Hi Ron, Thanks for looking and glad you enjoyed the builds. Some still to be finished off, but that always seems to be the way lol, lol. Henk said he'd add the Churchill AVRE which got missed off and would finish off the year nicely. Been a lot of fun, a steep learning curve and I'm hoping to get some of them into dios this year. With so much to catch up on and so many new kits, I'm spoilt for choice right now. Cheers Al

Hi Alan, beautifully done !! I've had the pleasure of seeing these works and others from start to finish, and let me tell you the man is a modelaholic l.o.l. I've also seen many pics. of all the works and they are all equally built with care and attention to detail. Great work buddy !!!! keep it up. Now where's that pier l.o.l. Cheyenne

Hi Glenn, Thanks for your over generous comments. The Pier was having a bit of a rest whilst I finished the Churchil AVRE. I almost got started on the windows but ended up with the wrong tickness of glass so I'm awaiting the arrival of some 0.5mm stuff which is what I think you used. That said some 14 civilians and workers are on the bench Patience buddy lol, lol. Hi Brad, Seeign a few of them pictured here spurred me on to getting a couple more moved on a stage or two. So I've three on the bench now getting stowage added and then I can finish off weathering them. An M4 SHerman Mk IB is also well on the way to completion, a salvage job from another life. Glad you mentioned the boats, these have been a big part of the last two years and I learnt a lot from building them. There are only 3 of the 6 featured here but they are a lot fun. Thanks for all your input guys, without it I'd still be back in the Dark Ages Cheers Al
