Cleaning the Iwata hp-cs

What you should have now is the airbrush disassembled and ready for cleaning.

Fill a container (I use small glasses) with thinner, and dip a piece of tissue paper in it.

With the thinner - dipped tissue paper, clean your airbrush needle, very careful, as not to damage the needle. Rub the tissue paper alongside the needle, from the blunt end to the needle point. Do so only in one direction, as shown by the arrows:

Next, is the cleaning of the needle way inside the airbrush. You can use either a brush, or a pipe cleaner, and I will show both methods. Note, when using a pipe - cleaner, exercise caution, so the pipe cleaner's metal wire won't scratch you airbrush.

A: Using the pipe cleaner. Push the pipe cleaner through the needle way, into the airbrush cup. Then, using up and down motions (as shown by the arrows) clean the needle way.

A very thorough 'how to' here... I've had my CS for about 2 years, but how do you remove the nozzle? I didn't even know it could be done

just pull it out gently. if it's stuck, gently and carefully tilt it to the sides and pull.
