Conclusion |
This kit was considered as short OOTB project. What started with 3 evenings for construction ended in
15 evenings and one full day for construction only! And I had to finish it because I had to had an article ready for a given issue of the IPMS
Panorma.
I can recommend this kit only to somebody, who will dedicate much time in building and amending it, as, although being so involved with it, I did not correct all flaws.
I cannot understand, why the old ESCI forms have not been examined before they were thrown on the market in new boxes. Quality does not seem to mean anything to Italeri and Revell and again a frustrated customer, who might not even know who is responsible for the original tooling,
remains left over.

Errata |
I was so busy with the shortcomings of this kit, that I overlooked something important: the commanders periscope looked different on Austrian M60A1. I do not know if this was already an Austrian modification or was done in the USA, before the tanks were exported. When I will do my next M60 kit, I will built a new commanders copula, featuring this periscope, and add it to this tank.
