As some of you may know Romain Baulesch aka 1stjaeger very recently lost his fight against cancer. Romain was a very active member on the KitMaker Network, specifically in the diorama area of Armorama. He was held in high regard by everyone he came into contact with and as such it was felt that Armorama should run a feature on his last great unfinished work as a tribute to this member who is no longer with us and his memory. This diorama is titled ‘HUE TeT 1968’, this is a very large diorama as indicated by the images below. While not finished it does provide an insight into the great ability he had and his eye for detail were structures and figures are concerned. You can leave your sympathy messages here or there are two threads running, these can be reached via the links below.

Very sad, it would be nice that a team of people takes care to finish this masterpiece in Romain's memory.

After watching Ep6 of Ken Burns' 'The Vietnam War' series, I fealt it appropriate to bump-up Romain Baulesch's (1stjaeger) superb diorama entitled 'HUE TeT 1968.'
Sadly, our friend is gone ...

Hi Mike - thanks very much for bringing this up. I miss Romain - he was a good friend to all of us. Very thoughtful and kind fellow - and man, he could sure build and paint. He was always up to sharing his thoughts and advice - I learned quite a bit from Romain. Thanks for keeping his spirit current and with all of us.
