About Dave O'Meara (Grumpyoldman)

I'm rewriting this in a much more humoristic way, to help over inflate my ego, and place my self on a pedestal, because I don't have a life, and plastic models are the only thing I live for. I plead guilty as charged to excessive babble, light hearted humor, and continued encouragement to youngsters...

Hi Dave, Let me be the first to congratulate you, a really cool truck. I like the odd headlights, nice yellow tint, like the waters got into one. In fact the whole truck looks great, like it's seen a bit of service. The blistering metal is just right for a well used vehicle and the random packing of the load just right for it's journey over rough and uneven ground. Way to go Dave, thanks for posting this Vinnie. Excellent model GOM. Any chance of a rundown of the kit manufacturer, scale, special tweaks. Cheers Shane

What did you use for the hardtop? Resin kit? Italeri deuce cab? Nice job

This is one of the new resin kits out of Brazil. There is a review of it in the reviews section. Nice job Dave. Cheers Cliff

Hi dave that is a great build all of which brings together a most interesting and natural looking truck going about it duties. I sometimes think that wheeled vehicles are more difficult to get to look natural and you have captured it to a tee. John
