Al-- very nice work. The bicycle is eye catching. I like the weathering job. How and what did you apply to get the effect?
thanks

Hi DJ,

I've been working at thes off and on for a long time now. I recently discovered Johnsons Klear for fixing the decals and also got a set of the MIG Filters.

P245 Brown for Dark Green was what I used for the final colour and the mud is ordinary garden soil stained with different MIG Pigments, Dark Mud, Light Dust, Rust to give it some contrast.

The kits were finished off with some more Mig Pigments working up from dark to light.

Prior to all this I added a variety of water/petrol and oil marks etc.

The New Ultracast Figures were what sparked my interest in getting a bit more done.

I hope this makes sense.

Cheers

Very nice, Alan.
I've got a Vc and a MkIII in my stash now and hope they come out half as good as these.
One thing I've noticed, it could be the pics but in the second pic is there a filler top missing on the jerry can under the bike?
regards
Tom

Hi Tom,

Many thanks and well spotted I hadn't noticed that.

Have fun with the VC and Mk III. I have the Mk III kits but haven't gotten around to them yet.

Has 'Rumour Control' anything on the Upgrade for the Firefly Ic or M4A1?

Cheers

Handsome looking Shermans, and great little Stuart Alan. The weathering looks the part! That will become more clear as the dio build progresses. The added stowage really helps them come alive. Nice boxes by the way...LOL's... The figures are well done. The blonde chap might be able to use a little more definition in the hair, hard to tell from the photo. Hate doing blondes myself. The most prominent feature I remember from our trip to the IWM was the weld seams. I think those are well represented. Have you tried the pastels yet? How did the chalk pencil work are you pleased with the reswults?

Hi Al

Now what we need is a 1/35th Covenanter and you can start all over again with an earlier version of Ulster.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the feedback and also for the boxes, they worked well to break up the standard stowage layout and being 'Mick' tanks I though a few 'Liberated Stores' would be just right

The Ultracast figs work well and point noted about the hair. The only thing I would change is the side bars as I have now developed a way to replace them but perhaps enough is enough!!!

I only tryied out the pastals in a few areas on the M4s I was experimenting with. They are very effective but I'll need more paly time, thanks again.

Hi David,

Well I suppose to be true I should really have a 4th tank to make up the troop lol, lol. Who knows what might happen when the Tasca M4A4 appears?????

Cheers guys, glad you enjoyed them it's been a long haul getting them this far.

Hi Jeff,

Glad that you like them and thanks for taking the time to post.

These have been on the go for a long time now. Betwen revisiting them to make corrections and changes, finding the right crew and loads they taken a fair bit of time.

The only thing left to add are some Tankers helmets hanging here and there, maybe a trophy German helmet. When I add those I'll call them done. The only thing I would changif if I did them again would be the side skirt bar but I only worked out a method of doing those recently so I'll leave that lol, lol.

Time!! I don't have as much of it now as I'm working full time again, but then something has to pay for all these kits.

Cheers

Al
