Hi people;
I´d like to share some pics of my current project, an Italeri Panzer IV ausf G.
As some of you must know, I´ve been building it for almost a year, and just now I started to paint it, so this pics show it in the first base coat, Testors enamel German Grey, with a bit of black to dark it even more...
The nest step will be to paint the white winter scheme, I´ll something different and strange, I´ll use tooth paste aver the Tamiya acrilic white paint to wipe and weather it off....sounds weird? I don´t think so, I´ll keep you update with the progress...
And, all comments are very welcomed... :-)

Just love the IIIs and IVs. They always look so cool.
Shaping up to be a really nice model ........ pitys its all so dark yet. I have included a link to a method for white washing you may be interested in.

What tracks did you use? They look like they have a nice amount of sag.

Sabot, the tracks are from DML, and it was the first time I made a link by link, I´m still thinking about how I gonna paint them.....
Martin, I´ll not gonna make a wash now, because I´ll spray the white color all over it, then I´ll make all washes, rusts, muds and everything possible to bring it alive...
Have you noticed the rust holes on the front mudguards?

Chad sent me a set of those very tracks that I plan on using on my PzKpfw IV. When I get to it, it'll be my first IV chassis since I built the old Tamiya IV D about 20+ years ago. Hope mine looks nearly as good as yours does. German armor tends to scare me, I don't know too much about it and there are too many experts out there ready to pounce!

Oh to have the good old days where you painted them all gray and just stuck a couple of crosses on them.

Nice Panzer!, you mentioned that is your 1st. work with individual tracks, you made a great work!!. I think that you will prefer to work with individual tracks, is another great experience and more realism and more options for your model as to add Friulmodel, Modelkasten, etc., your Panzer look's great, I hope to see images of your next step, I love the white winter scheme!

I´m afraid that the track brands you suggest aren´t available here in Brazil, and if I try to import them by net or any other source I´ll have to pay a lot of money for it, so I stay with the kit´s tracks or a DML if I´m luck to get my hands in one...
I´ll try to keep you all update with the progress pics...

That is a nice job on this kit I have two of them and well it is hard to put together so I know from experience that it is a rough kit. So final is great job on a heck of kit a Paulo!!

I advanced in my project now it was already weathered, my next step will to add mud to all the botton hull and tracks and running gear, I took some pics but I´ll have to process it before uploading them here, so wait a little bit more.

i did try to use the tooth paste method, but it didn´t work very well, so I used a diferent aproach, I used soap detergent in the same way I did with the tooth paste, and it was very good... you gonna see the results in a few days...

Damn it... now I have to clean my keyboard again, after drooling all over it looking at your pictures... The model looks realy realy good...

Looking at some of these models, yours certainly among them, I will be really happy if mine turn out half as good.
