Here's a couple of pics of the latest project on my desk. This is a little cross-kitting work using two Italeri kits. Their M4A3 Sherman (The one they call a Jumbo) and their M32 (which really isn't) are combined to make this kit. Eduard's PE for both the M32 and M4A3 were used and the tools are from Collector's Brass. This is the first time that I used my new Paasche H Airbrush and I must admit that I am very happy with it. It is also the first time that I photographed a model using a separate light sources instead of the flash and I am also happy with the first time results here though I know there is still room for improvements.
Any comments on the model or the photography is greatly appreciated.

Looks very impressive. Could you post what changes you made to accurize the M-32?

That's very well done.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

To answer your question about correcting the M32, I didn't really correct the existing M32 from Italeri...what I did was place an M4A3 hull underneath all of the TRV equipment to make it into an M32 B3 variant with a small amount of stowage relocation. The problems with the equipment itself are not many whereas having it on a late M4A1 hull like Italeri has it represents a post war variant.

Very nice. This is what I really like to see, an unusual vehicle in an unusual pose. Great work.
You mention liking your new Pasche H airbrush. I'm considering a Pasche VL. Do you know how they compare?

Hi verry nice topic and good executed.
But I have some remarks
I never seen WWII pictures of the hull you used and the mounting points of the boom are not in the correct position or even right shape, why I say this maybe you have some WWII pictures of this vehicle?
But You build for youre own plessure and thats the most importend thing.

Right you are about the Paasche Blaster, very easy to work with and to clean...love at first spritz.
Sorry Rodger...I've never used their VL series so I don't have anything to compare it with.
Ronald...no pics...built this one based purely on speculation and available parts / kits. Based on some dates from Hunnicut...I figured that there was a possibility that this variant may have existed in this form. I have one picture of an M32 B3 using this hull with HVSS suspension but I got my fat little fingers on it way too late in the build. I have noticed the errors in the mounting points but seeing as the furthest this will go is a shelf in my computer room, I can live with it.
Thanks all for the comments...I'll keep you posted on progress. :-)

Lovely model, well painted, nice clean build and great work with all the cables. They look nice and tight. What did you use for these cables? I have one of these underway myself and this would be great to know! Cheers!

Thanks again everyone.
Airwarrior - it's not pulling it out of the mud, I wanted to show a full interior of a Sherman and I figured using the TRV was a good way to achieve this. Watch for my next topic sometime through the weekend it will be of an M4 with full interior.
Andrew - I'll try to get as good a close up pics as I can... still trying to learn this photography thing. I'll include those shots in my next topic of the M4.
Plasticbattle - I used 2 sizes of string to replicate the cables. One straight out of my wife's sewing basket (not like she sews anyway). The weight of the turret really helps to keep things nice and tight.
I'll keep you all posted on progress
