Mike,

The Airborne Campaign has been extended to 08th May '09.

BTW: could you include also HF, MS, MG, AM and AS campaigns here? There are many good campaigns going on also on other KMN sites and it would good to know about them as well while planning the work

Andrezej,

I've updated my spreadsheet with the extension of the Airborne Campaign; I'll change out the picture above today.

Regarding the other site's campaigns; I've sent my template to most of the other sites. I believe that they are posting theirs on their site? I don't know that I'd be able to keep up with a KMN-wide listing of Campaigns/Builds....

I could do this KMN spreadsheet for you with monthly (or half-monthly) updates If you want me to.
Since I work as quality engineer and my work is basicly "Excel/Powerpoint Engineering" I am Excel god

Hi guys,
A lot of work went into this and it’s much appreciated. Wouldn’t it just be easier to list all campaigns under one site like the Kitmaker site? Each section can still have its own little tab to click on but all going to that one site that lists all campaigns and have this added to that location for a quick time overview?

The campaigns are being limited by separation between sites, and also requiring members to go to each department to look up campaigns they might be interested in. This would also help in promoting any campaign that crosses over department borders. The Operations campaign would be easier to promote.

You already have little icons to show which department the campaign is in, tank for Armorama, tree for diorama, sextant and flags for shipwrights, planes for aero, etc.. Just list them on one page so they can all be accessed without searching across the sites.

Your excellent spreadsheet on the page would be great for a visual on timelines and deadlines.

An additional button or tab would be great on each campaign page to go to that departments campaign posts listing without having to go back to each forums listing to get there.

Also a possibility would be a Completed Campaigns page.

Just some thoughts, I was considering an Operations campaign that would cover all areas of Kitmaker but am at a loss as to how I would even look for interested parties. I would have to post under each site and then which site would the campaign be listed under?

I’m done, sorry if I rambled,
Bob

Bob,

No rambling there. I think it would be a good idea, if it can be done. Check your PMs.

I've done that with Bitter Taste of Defeat campaign... and with Soldier Evolution campaign (HF and Armorama).

I hope this is the correct area to ask this question. I submitted a campaign request On Oct. 6/09 for a Matchbox Nostalgia campaign. The automated process informed me that I should expect a reply within two weeks. As I haven't received any acknowledgement of the request I was wondering if I made the submission properly (was the request received?). This is my first attempt at organizing a campaign so it's all new to me.

Thanks,
Jan

The Campaign Manager has been having some personal and health issues so things have been piling up. Hopefully issues will be taken care of in the future.

I was just about to ask the same question for the Canadian Campaign, so thanks for clarifying. I thought that I was doing something wrong, as I submitted it twice during the past month, but now I see the reason behind it.

Well, I have approved of 3 campaigns tonight:

For better or worse, I've created this one as already started.
All Hail the Abrams!

And starting later this year:
Pacific Campaign
The True North - Strong and Free

If you don't see your campaign here, don't worry. There are more approvals to come although there might be changes in the start date to sometime in 2010.

Here's the current campaign schedule. I might add Tank Killers starting in November if that won't overload everyone.

There are more campaigns to be approved but they will start sometime next year.

Another thing coming will be a Guide for Campaign Leaders. It will be a posting of the duties of a campaign leader and things like how to add and award ribbons. This will be pinned so it will be easy to find.

Hey all...been fun. Gary's onboard and got it all under control.

As soon as my cast comes off and I can build again, you'll see me playing "catch up" in the campaigns.

Until then........

We all thank you for keeping your finger(s) in the dike until a sucker, er, replacement could be found. I hope you will enjoy participating in campaigns instead of just riding herd on them!

THAT would be cool! Any idea on when this guide will be emerging? I'm curious to hear.

I'm hoping by the end of the week if not sooner. The words don't always flow like I'd want when I want plus I have to double check some things.

Actually I need one of you currently running campaign leaders who are NOT staff members to check something for me. Go to your campaign page and click on the "_ADMIN" link near the top. Can you change the end date of your campaign? I'm not sure if leaders can do that or if it's up to me.

Never mind. Looks like leaders can't change that.

just one small thing. There are so many "sticky" topics in "campaigns" now that there is only room for one ordinary topic. This could make it more difficult to see new proposals and other discussions. I know for my part that I only check the first page when browsing through the different forums.

So if there are any topics that can be "unstuck" I think it would be an advantage to the campaign forum.

It is getting rather full. I might unstick some of the threads for campaigns that have not started as well as some others.
