There''s been a trend recently for several manufacturers to produce ''instant'' vignettes in 1/35th scale. Now, for the first time, Dragon Models have announced a similar iniative with the new, ''History in Your Hands (tm)'' series. Featuring ''Gen2'' technology the first of the new sets will be released at the beginning of June. Also featured in the report are details of some of the future sets which can be seen:

The description of her as "newly tooled Leni Riefenstahl " is bound to get some interesting comments no doubt

There's a lot of possibilities for sets like this - combine them with Bronco's new A13 and you have counter-invasion exercises on the South Coast...

To tell the truth...I am very excited about this announcement. Any addition of civilians and more obscure subject matter is welcome as far as I'm concerned.

Dragon has been getting a lot of negative feedback for producing some boring / unimaginative figure sets. Now the pendulum has started to swing in the other direction.

A while back there was a thread on this forum asking for our thoughts on what the major manufacturers should produce.

Some of the items mentioned were Scottish Highlanders and FFI (Maquis)-these have been announced by Masterbox. Others mentioned: MORE CIVILIAN sets,(WWII) Early war regular French Army, French Foreign Legion, Tunesian and (Allied) Indian troops, (German) Indian Volunteer Legion, Italian, Polish, Japanese, etc., etc., etc.

I think this is a positive step by Dragon to fill a small neglected niche of the market.

Yep, it was in fact a complete hoax

Thanks to those who PM'ed me asking about release dates, more images etc.

I'd also like to thank Faust (Robert Blokker) without whose graphics it wouldn't have looked so authentic...

Bummer! I was hoping to see the first installment of "Vignette Wars" featuring hiro-boy vs. the bugler company.
