70 Euro is about $108.00 USD.
Worth every shiny penny.

Yeah,
I'm just sitting here waiting for my conversion from Real Models myself. I'm anxious because I want to make sure nothing is missing before the build kicks off.

I didn't think about making it the ribbon, but now that you suggested it I will try and shrink it down. It shouldn't be too much of a problem if I eliminate the text portion.
Just found out that my Real Model Conversion arrived today, I can't wait to check it out.

Hi all
Not really a modern armour fan, but I saw this kit in 1/72 scale and for $5 it's pretty good value. Also bought these Preiser figures which were double the price of the Stryker, but at least you get 12. Should make a cool little diorama, can't wait to start.

Brett,
Looks like you got a pretty good deal there. So far, I think your the only one doing a 1/72 scale kit.

I have a question.
Does it actually have to be a vehicle thats in service with its country? The reason I ask is that at one time Canada was poised to buy 66 of the MGS vehicles.
That has since been shelved but I have always wanted to do one in Canadian markings (and mods cause Canada hardly ever never buys anything off the shelf).
If its not within the rules thats okay I will find something else to do.
Cheers!

No, just as long as it's a LAVIII/Stryker or one of it's derivatives. The reason the U.S., Canada, Israel and New Zealand are listed is that they are the only operators of those vehicles. Since Canada considered buying them, go for it.

Yeah I think it's very new, since I live here in South Korea, so I see the kits before I ever read about them. I'm no Stryker expert, but it looks like a detailed little kit and the soldiers have excellent detail too.

I'm well underway with my Canadian LAVIII build from the Real Model conversion set for the AFV Club Stryker. Sorry, I just couldn't wait so I hope you don't mind me jumping the gun. I'll try and post some pics in a day or two...

Hey Andreas
I found that the resin replacement hull was a little short in height at the rear so the AFV Club parts for the rear door and such were a liitle high. Some shaving and grunting ensued to get it to fit. Also, I'm finding that the wire for the turret baskets seems a lttle too thick so I'm replacing it with .030 styrene rod. Attach PE parts 88 and 89 to the rear of the turret first then fabricate the rods to fit. The only other thing I've noticed are the resin wheels and tires all have a little bulge at the bottom that are nicely understated and look right, but they are all cast from the same master so the Michelin logo appears in the same orientation on every tire. Way to much of a coincidence on the real thing I think so I'm going to use the kit tires and wheels. I'll find a use for the resin ones somewhere. Too bad 'cause otherwise they look really nice. I've also got some Maple Leaf Models ones I'll look at too......
It's a beautiful kit.
