Here is the panzer 1 a that I have been working on. Included are some finished interior photos and some completed construction photos of the exterior. The interior received a few of the excellent Fingerprint Designs Interior stenciling. The exterior received an Aber update, some lead foil and some wire. The wood jack block has to be added to the back still as I could not find a nice piece of wood. Some of the fit was scewed by the addition of the interior and it was a real trial when attaching the upper hull to the lower. Comments welcome as usual.

Andrew,
Hey pal, what a tidy and neat clean job you have done on the Pz1A. I like the details and PE parts that you have added to the kit. What color scheme you gonna do on it?

You are the master detailer! That is what is now becoming your typical extrodinary work.
Question/Comment - What are your plans for displaying this tank, in the field, off the line, in maintenance? That brings me to, would the interior be that dirty/rusty, the transmission (?) looks a bit on the rough side. Well done, yet well worn.

Well, the panzer 1 that I am portraying is going to be fairly old and participating in the Invasion of France. Since most Panzer 1's were made in the mid 30's, the interior is slightly "old", hence the beat up transmission. I plan to have it in a dio, refuelling at a French Gas Station. I read about this kind of situation in the book "Blitzkrieg" when German armour outran supply coloums and were forced to refuel at Gas Stations. Luckily (or unluckily) they took regular Gasoline... :-) The colour scheme is going to German Grey with Brown spots as was correct for the French Campaign.
Thanks for all of the encouraging comments as always,
Andrew

Very nice job Andrew!!! Just a question: is the tiny chain at the back of the lower hull coming from a PE set, scratchbuilt, or what?

Thanks again guys for the nice comments. Fabio, the chain on the back is from an M-20 PE set I believe. I used it because it was slightly better than the Aber PE fo the Panzer 1. I am still considering adding the huge (relative ot the little vehicle)PE smoke grenade discharger on the back of the panzer 1 but it will cover up the beautiful Aber louvers on the back engine deck.
We will see,
Andrew

Excellent buddy.
Guys, I saw this little thing in person. All I can say is that it's absolutely amazing. Even the little hooks and latches on the front work, the hatch hinges, and tiny vision ports. Man. That kind of detail would drive me bonkers!
That's why I've been sticking to stuff larger than Panzer IVs and only kit parts so far

Way cool Obe, I knew those long winter nights were good for something besides nighttime hockey games
I really like the extra detailing on the running gear, and the interior is just what makes the model.
Now hurry and paint it so we can see some more.

Here is the base colour and camo painted on.
It is obviously going to be toned down by vigorous weathering.
The paint scheme is consistent with research done by Jenta and Doyle who claim that the vehicles that took part in the Invasion of France had 30% of the vehicle covered in brown spots.
Please comment if you think there is an inaccuracy.
Thanks,
Andrew
