Looks good "thebear"! Nice job, of course, I'm not a stickler for historical accuracy and all that stuff, as long as it looks good, then it's good. I'm finishing up one of these things myself.

Thanks for the kind words...and yes I will try and build a figure or 2 for the beast but I finished the kit friday and the show was saturday ...as for the grass well it is just a good old paint brush hairs stuck into the wet plaster...painted in yellows and greens ...again done at the last minute for the show...The plaque I had made using a gothic style writing ...think it looks very German ..don't you?? lol This was my first attempt at painting with my new airbrush ..I was amazed at what I could do with the Tamiya superfine...I love it. Lots of pastels on this big bugger!! mostly black and yellow ochre but little mix here and there ..As for my impressions of the kit ...well it is very toylike and would wait for the tristar kit if I were to do it again...

Brilliant finish and weathering! Love the whole concept of this gun!
I couldnt agree more ......... a figure brings most kits to life, but this kit definately needs a few to really show off the size. Nice work Bear!!

Thanks for the comments Plastic....I really should try my hand at a figure or two..Haven,t built any in a couple of years ..But this week-end I was able to see Mark Bannerman's seminar on figure painting and I think I'll give it a try... If you ever get a chance to meet him he is a great guy and a super modeller!! He makes it look easy..now for me to try it!! UUGGHH!!

Great work on that monster. I finally saw the kit at my local hobby store last week. The box alone is huge, it's bigger than the DW's!
I think a figure or two is nessecary just to show off the actual size of the beast. Without one it's tough to judge.
Here they all are on this one page for easier viewing:

Great job, bear!
I love the look of that "beast", and I can't wait to do one myself-
just as soon as I finish the other 37 kits in front of it!!
Again, wonderful job you did, sir!

Thanks again and thanks Kencelot fr putting them up directly...Yes it is a big kit it takes up a whole shelf in my display case...certainly had lots of questions asked about this kit at the show ...and hey it won a second place in the out of the box category so I'm happy with it ..

Great Job,Bear.I guess I will have to paint minein Grey, you've spoiled everyone so I wont try that scheme.Just a positioning note, slide the gun assembly forwards. It would recoil back towards the drivers hatch when fired. In your mode there, the gun and cradle can be slid forwards.

Rick, sorry I'm a little late on posting here, but did you nail "Da Karl" or did you nail "Da Karl" with your efforts here.
Wow---- this is just a superb model. Everything in the build, from the part fit to the paint job looks dynamite.
Congrats on a huge effort, on a huge subject!!!
