Ballot cast.

Interesting to note that there is no Intro Class this month - I hope the beginners aren't getting scared off

Hi Emre. Could you expand on this statement? What do you mean?
It has been long since acknowledged that this class is for beginners/newcomers only, and when they win the class it means they must compete in the advanced class, thereafter.
With so little entries, it means its an almost cert, that a newcomer will win it eventually, and hopefully this will give them the confidence to go further. It is also a way to attract new modellers to enter the competition. When there is no entry in this class
all three prizes go to the advanced class.
I personally like this system, and hope it does attract every newcomer to the site to participate in the competition.
But I really cant make head nor tail of your statement, or what you mean by it.

Relax Frank, it was meant to be a joke, but I wasn't clear enough...
What I was trying to imply is that there was much fuss about beginners outshadowed by intermediate class modellers, so now the intermediates are together with the advanced (and outshadowed by über-advanced in turn

). Yet after this change, while the beginners should be confident to join and compete, there are hardly any models at all. By ungrateful, I was referring to the lack of interest to the beginners class of DMOM. They have a whole class of competition all to themselves, yet they are not benefiting from this.
I hope it is clearer now. I find it surprising that there isn't even two or three models to compete in this class, even when there are a lot of beginners in the forums asking questions and the like. As you stated, it is really easy to win in this class, so I expected people to be grateful and join. Seems I was wrong.

Hi Emre .... don´t worry .... Im pretty relaxed!! I didnt get the joke ... must be the Turkish humour?

I agree with what you say now though ... but still feel that newer modellers should be encouraged in every way possible, and am glad that the site have provided for this.
When none enter ... the third prize goes into the higher category, so increases the chances of somebody else winning there, so its not all bad.

wow, first time I voted, and it wasn't easy, when I look at the entry's I'm afraid of competing, it's scary the way some "beginners" have talent, being 20+ years of modeling I never achived such results, haven't got 'it' I guess
but what the heck I'll come around next month and vote again, looking at the models give's inspiration

Wow! some great looking models this month. Competition is fierce.I find this month in particular that the quality of the picture is a big factor, almost as important as the model itself.
Good luck and congrats to all who entered
