I like the guy with the PPSH. The others look a little stiff

I think those look like CAD pictures. I don't think the actual figures will be as crisp. In my experience with Dragon the CADs always look much better than the finished product....HOWEVER...I will definitely buy a set of these. Dragon do set the standard for styrene figutres.

I agree that the PPSH guy is the best. This is an SS version of "desperate defence". Nice but not really original

They're not Wehrmacht... they're WSS
I like them... plenty of potential there... besides, those tank riders look quite boring...

I'm not sure of these figures, none of them are pointing at anything. Could it be we may have seen the end of pointing figures?

I personally like the crouched officer the best. More like a single figure though since he seems to be wearing much lighter cloths comparing the rest of the squad.

I read on another figures site that Dragon does their initial masters in 1/16th scale. That's why there's a difference between the initial pics they show and the actual figures in 1/35 scale.
I don't mean, of course, that the actual figures are bad... but just not as great as the initial pics.
Nice looking set, by the way.

One figure? Why not all of them? Just think of all the dioramic possibilities.

Is it just me or does the second guy's weapon carrying position look really awkward?
I could see lifting it up that high if her were stepping over something, but the rest of the posture (including how far back his arms and gun are) does not sell me on wary advance, ready to fire.
Maybe it's just me...
I'll end up buying them anyway.

Mike,
Are you refering the 2nd guy from the left in the full picture? The weapon doesn't bug me so much as the map case positioned over the groin area. It looks awkward, uncomfortable and unnatural...Imagine running in that setup with the map case banging you in the family jewels with every bound you take

I assume you're an axis modeller?? you would surely find any seated or resting figure boring seeing as you have so many to choose from

you have to remember us OD fans have had nothing but squidgy old tamiya offerings for years!

You assume too much. And you know what assumption is?

My WW2 interest has been limited to Brit for years, so yes, I know all too well about the limited supply of Allied subjects. It's only recently that I have fostered an interest in the WSS.
You want me to excited about tank riders? Give my a set of Commonwealth riders... oh wait... we didn't ride tanks... we slogged through Europe on our feet!

There might be some odd details in the set, like the map case over the groin area, but overall a very nice set with some good diorama possibilities. I could see these guys in a city or behind a tank.
Thanks for the news update

The bloke with the ushanka-looking hat on has a nicely sculpted face I reckon. I hope that it comes through on the actual figures! Because there is no helmet strap, are these a complete head, or two pieces again?
