Hello,
I have some idea for diorama with this:
Vehicle was used by Polish 1. Samodzielna Brygada Spadochronowa.
What do you think?

The banner looks great, though the wings should be silver. I've enlisted and hope to start my build in November. Hmmm. Better start brainstorming. Best wishes for a successful campaign! Dave

I know they should be silver but we're not in US Airborne
I thought that wings and parachute would look better in gold when placed on a blue background.
Today I want to prepare some banners (if only my son gives me 30 minutes

).

Andrzej, is dio/vignette with only figures on it (no vehicles, ATG, canons) allowed or some kind of mechanised equipment sould be added?
BTW, nice ribbon. I can't wait to have it in my profile.
@Adam, I haven't seen that kit before. Who produce it?
It's great idea to include Polish 1. Samodzielna Brygada Spadochronowa to this campaign.
What figures are you going to use on your dio?

Marcin - sure thing: only condition is that figures have to be airborne soldiers.

Martyn - as long as your soldiers are airborne they can ambush anything they want! There just cannot be discusion about mission or presented soldiers - it must be obvious that they are airborne - uniforms, equipment etc must be typical for these forces.

I've prepared three banners - I hope you like them:
Archangel Banner (Archangel Michael is St. Patron of airborne soldiers):

http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii112/endrju007/Modele/Airborne/Airbornebanner3.jpgI'm thinking also about some banners showing more up to date airborn troops activities.
If you have any good ideas and like making banners (hi Jesper

) you can propose your own suggestions - they are all welcome!

They all look good, but my favorite is the Crete Invasion Banner.
Good job on getting these done!

Hello,
Marcin - Willys Jeep is produced by Polish SK Model. There is old Heller kit. Set includes two figures: driver and soldier. For diorama, I will use newest British paratroopers figures from Master Box.
Thanks Andrzej
I think, that first banner is the best

I really like the St. Michael banner. I still have the St. Michael medal I was given at Airborne School in '84. Well done, friend! Dave

It's great that we have airborne guys among us (I know about two already)

We already have 14 participants enlisted (and the campaign is available to join to just for three days

).

I have enlisted for duty

Looks like it is going to be a great campaign!
I love the banners and the ribbon. They look fantastic - especially the ribbon is one of the coolest I have seen here - and I have seen a lot
I did service two years in the mobile infantry, so never parachuted to deploy, but we did use choppers from time to time. (Chinooks and UH-1s) That must count for something in this campaign.
I still have not decided what to build, but I think it will be German WWII.
BTW Andrzej, how are the rules about using something previous build for the diorama?
If I have a King Tiger / JagdTiger / StuG III or similar already build prior to the campaign - can I include this in the diorama? Fx. use a previously finished King Tiger and then build the figures and the diorama for this campaign. Is that acceptable?
Under all circumstances I am up for this campaign

Hi Jesper,
I'm glad that you like ribbon and banners

.
I did not thought about using previously built kits, but I think we can allow it if only built kit is not airborne qualified - it must be typical for other types of military units. IE King Tiger or Stug would qualify, but not the planes, choppers, tanks or cars (or other vehicles) that may be dropped along with the airborne forces (IE M-551 tank was supposed to be airborne).
What do you say for this additional condition?
Andrzej

After Jesper's suggestion I've modified poing 6. of Rules and Regs. Now it states:
6. Work must begin and be completed within the active period. Usage of already built kits is allowed if only built kit cannot be considered airborne - it must be typical for other types of military units. All airborne troops and equipment along with diorama must be built within the active period. It should provoke bigger dioramas with more of different vehicles

Andy, I've just replied a PM to you.
To everybody: since Andy proposed his entry to this campaign in 1/6 scale I felt like changing the scale range for this campaign

. It would be sin to reject this kind of proposal.
Therefore I've added another point to our Regs:
8. All scales are allowed. Scale range 1/16 - 1/72 was originally mentioned as most popular for dioramas. Bigger and smaller scale dioramas will also be accepted..
I hope you all have nothing agains this change

.
It's great to see that this campaign draws so many modelers! Welcome Carl, Bruce, Matthew, Spaarndammer and Andy!
Right now I'm thinking what to build for this one - I have Dragon's 1/16 Fallschirmjäger figure in stash, I'm also thinking about Crete invasion, or '44 Italian front (aslo Fallschirmjäger). Decisions... Decision...
