You've done an excellent job so far but I concur with other posters about the price. It's quite huge and I think I won't afford it till I'm a winner at the National lottery !
I'll wait for a plastic company to be interested in such nice vehicles ... Trumpeter, Hobby Boss are you there ?

Looks pretty good. One thing you need to keep in mind is that everything inside has to be tied down or secure. In case of an IED strike any loose object becomes a potential deadly projectile. I would love to have one of these and the other MRAP, The Cougar. But right now the cost is way out of my budget. Are you going to paint the exterior green or sand? They are painted both ways.

I was wondering if you'd do the fire suppression system - it looks great. Are you going to put the mine roller on it?

I don't think the Canadian Buffalo uses the mine roller.

The reason I ask is because I beleive the yellow device on the right front passenger seat helps steer it, or so I've been told.

Actually that is for controlling the pickle fork.

I all paint sand because I build Canadian version.

That certainly makes more sense. I think the young lance corporal who opened it up wasn't sure himself. Thanks for the clarifiaction. I wondered why the hydraulics wre all located on the bumper, right in the way of anything bad happening.

Hi all,
Now some photos right side. I make of new fenders because metal is no realistic as rubber.
I use Tamiya paper adhesive tape. Small problem is bow Exhaust Guard because material is very hard and very flexible.

Excellent update.....the fenders look super and so does the windshield.

Can you explain a bit more or post a photo of the adhesive foil you used for the windshield?

Ah, OK, so you used real vehicle tint foil.

Very good idea....it looks great....Pimp that Buffalo!

Unfortunetely I am not sure if that is available in North America....it is illegal to tint the front windshield of a vehicle....unless it is factory tinted.

There must be a similar product in Canada and the US for crafts.

You can try this it is what i use

I believe it is illegal to tint the front wind shield along with the front driver and passenger windows(this may very state by state) but you can do the rear wind shield and rear side windows. Only factory tinted windows are really legal but never the front wind shield and any after market tinting has to be with in state legal guide lines for tinting so no limo tint in a passenger car or truck normally around 15% is good. Just about all local auto parts stores sell window tint and even this colored tint the ricers love it so you will find it next to the coffee can, go fast decals for imports.

Sorry, I should have clarified about the side and front windshield tinting.....you are correct. I have seen enough window tint in my life. I have seen aftermarket window tint in black, grey, and blue shades.....just never green.

The PVC tinted sheets look nice in the link you posted.

For those looking a technique for the elusive multi-colour laser coated optics....there are car pinstripe decals that "shade shift" from green to blue to purple.

Oh yeah, I am liking that. I've seen red , green, and blue tint at the ricer shops, but never made the connection to applying it to a model. Do you just use a soapy water to make it stick, or is there a special adhesive?

I wonder if this would work on optics? Maybe paint the plastic buffable silver, and 'stick' a small square of green tint on it? I bet that stuff cuts way easier than foil confetti too... hmm..

Yes, indeed....I think that would look pretty sharp on any AFV that doesn't have the laser coated optics.

Don't forget about the Mylar confetti it has some great metallic colors that work wonders for vision blocks.

I used a lot of window tint for 1/24-25 cars i built it was simple as a few drops of water and getting the bubbles out it does cut very easy just like very thin paper styrene. And don't forget the mirror tint does a great job behind the tinted stuff.
