Looks great, Warren. You did a good job on the camouflage.

The distinction between tank hunters and main battle tanks is a bit academic, but the Swedes planned the Strv. 103 as a real tank and not a tank hunter like the SU-85. But as Gary writes the first tanks did not have turrets.

Hello all, I have a Tamiya Leopard 1 A1 and have enough time to complete if it fits the criteria. If so does anyone have any references on a camo scheme that they could share?

John: it will be oob, I found a 3 color scheme online. Thanks for the help. Now if the dentist get me to 100% so that I can finish, all teeth are being extracted for my first dentures.

Are you planning a Danish or Norwegian version ?

Looks good so far. It's an old Tamyia kit right ? I build the A4 a few years ago.

John it is the old Tamiya kit, and this is suppose to be a Danish tank.

If you need more time let me know, not many people finished their builds and since there might be some vacation time around I'll might ask for a 2 or 3 weeks extension.

Any chance for extension? I have completed painting of the 3-tone for my strv 122 turret and the chassis is in light green already.

Argh.. this strv 122 is killing me! At the moment it is just a build that just needs to be done. This 3-tone camo is really getting on my nerves! I think I need few one colored tanks for next..

Paintings done, moving for wash n filters.

So the 10,5cm howitzer version is like the 1:35 scale version, the 75mm gun parts are still there?
Nice, not-so-often-seen subject, as most of the Finnish Stugs tend to be wartime vehicles.
Really nice work so far, those post-war modifications look great! I'll be watching your progress with great interest.

Btw, when you get around to the decals, could you report how they worked? Black Lion Decals' sets look nice (well, apart from their "anything-under-the-sun-but-swastikas" policy, which sadly rules out wartime Finnish markings, which are very scarce in 1:72) with many sheets for Finnish vehicles, but despite asking around, I haven't heard of peoples' experiences with them.

Thanks, Eetu.
Yes, this kit includes 7.5cm gun.

Finnish sheets of Black Lion Decals are almost good.

This sheet's Stug number is Ps531-21.
According to Andreas Larka, Ps531-21 is unique vehicle.
I decided build other one(Ps531-4).

"4" from T34-85 registration number.

Black Lion's cockades are not good.
I used Kuivalainen decal's cockades.

Here is my entry, Hobby Boss Strv 122. I apologize that I couldnt finish it earlier. It was long and frustrating build, and in the end it became build that just had to be done to clear the desk.

Any chance for ribbon anymore? Anyway, the biggest prize is that I got this finished.

This is great. Thanks for sharing your experience. This would be a get vehicle to scratch build if one had a lot of talent and time.

cheers!

Anyone have any ideas for a campaign ribbon? I was thinking of something like the dragon boat head on the banner combined with a Leo2 or a generic tank. Colors maybe a yellow background with red, white, and blue stripes on the sides.

Update: Instead of the dragon, I used a Viking helmet.
