Stay tuned Chris.

Thanks Seb, getting that Hanger done is a killer for the brain!

Max, METALGEAR isn't a real beast, my client wanted one such for his own reasons.

Here's the 300..

A few pics mainly primered and mian color..from some months back... Presently I'm in the process of detail painting and working on custom markings, etc
I use Vallejo exclusively

the "300".. subtle pre-shade before main color

"Metalgear" more defined pre-shade..

Looking good!

On a side note, Metalgear's smoke dischargers seem to be a little long... but maybe that's just me...
may I ask, how you made the slave cable?

Cheers Max

Very nice work, especially on the smoke grenade launchers.

Max, Bill thanks for the commends..

Max, Metalgear's smoke discharges are about 0.5mm longer than DML's.. However based on the pics I have (with the grenades loaded) they are about the lenght...

I scratched the Slave cables with styrene rod and sheet. Drilled holes into thicker rods for the cables to connect to..

Nick,

Looking GOOD!

I think your USMC Smoke Dischargers look about right. If anything, the entire mount might need to be alittle more forward (in reference to the storage box hinge and the end of the discharger tube):

Thanks Jeffrey.
I thought the tubes were to be lenghten but forgot about the mounts as well. I'll have to scratch new ones for my other USMC tanks and cast them.
I also think the entire placement of the whole lot is a little off..should be closer to the storage box than to the side bins..

Hey Nic,
I'm sorry for causing confusion here, must have been my squint...
double checked the pics now, there's nothing wrong with it. What made me assume that there's something wrong was that the right side grenade launchers appear to be a little too long, but when compared to the left side (which should have the same size, I guess) it's alright...
sorry again.

cheers Max

Max,

No issues, in fact I owe you a thank you...cause I had to double check on my smoke dischargers info and get them really right next time round..particularly the mounts!

Hello. I could not find good topic for my question, so I ask here. I saw USMC M1A1's with some parts of TUSK (like belly armor) but never with full kit, but I heard that there were few such equiped tanks, any pics of these?

Damien the TUSK parts were modular to fit the mission.

Yeah, I know that, still the Army used full kits, and USMC tanks I saw were only fitted with some parts. The thing that I am most interested is USMC tanks with ARAT skirts.

Yeeeha!
pretty much amazing...
only thing two things I noticed are that the flat CIP's (the dragons stickers I assume?) could use some weathering as well as some 3D velcro strips in the corners and that the 9 screws on the dazzlers' front end could be painted silver, but that's just an option...
other than that your weathering so far is absolutely outstanding, wish I was able to do it like that...

Cheers, Max

Looks really good. Did you make the Igloo cooler yourself? If so, are you willing to sell a few? The MCD looks good too. Same questions on it.

Hey thanks guys for the kind words and the advise!

The photos posted aren't the most recent, I've since given washes and more weathering to everything, including both the front CIPs and MCD. But thanks, I forgot about painting those screws! As for DML's CIPs, any advise on how to make those velcros 3D? Painted Tamiya tape?

Yes I made the cooler, I have a master in works (and got some pms about them) but they're not yet ready for production yet as I still got to refine the scribe lines and touch up the quality on the decals.

Howdy Nick, great to see you and your work back on the net. That TWMP is a beauty, great job. That '300' marking is tight too. Outta here, Mike sends . . .

Thank you all!

Mike, Walter, It's great to be back on the site. BTW the TWMP was a killer to modify into the correct version required.
