Thanks for the info. I used the Legends set for my Dumvee and its alright but has some thin parts. I'll have to try the pro-art set sometime.
If you can find them, Derwent offer an excellent pencil set with a wide range of pencils in varying softness and some graphite sticks. They're a bit expensive but very useful. Their site is here
Hope this helps

Hi Nick,
very good and clean building and also very nice weathering.
Is this clamping-tool from the kit or from your spare parts. I saw this thing in my tamiya leclerc kit today ... funny.
great work.
cheers walter

Wow.
I'm working on a similar Humvee right now, but then in 1:72, and I have to say, your pictures are very inspirational. If mine looks have as good as yours when it's done, I'll be happy. Great work

Anthony, these are 1/35 scale.
Anirudh, yes we have Derwent here...Which particular pencils should I use for modern armor?
Walter, yup that's about the same to what you find in the Chally and Leclerc kits. I scratch built that lashing gear at the last minute, took an hour and was pretty easy... Had to do it as that seemed the only logical way to secure a spare tire. I don't know why I bothered to make it workable though.. I get duh sometimes..
Maurice, I had DML's 1/72 scale Humvees too...just so sad I don't have the time to build them!

谢谢!不要担心你的英语,我的中文不是很大..所以我要么使用谷歌翻译!

Nick,
Its been a while and man you've done some amazing work. These two and your Stryker are top notch. I can't wait to see what your Abrams will look like. Please update that as well.
Also, how many bits were your tie downs? I just don't understand how you work so small, its amazing.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the commends guys. I actually prepared a lot more gear for both the Humvees and Stryker but it looked a bit much and covered more of the details I wanted my client to see.
Anyway I initially mounted the spare tire cause I was hoping Cory Sutton aka "corsutton" would have his photoetch lashing gear set in time.. Cory are you reading this? We need those "buckles"!
Sean, good to see you back here. I can't wait to complete those 2 tanks, they will be really one of a kind and then I can get full into four TUSK versions then.
Are the "tie downs" bits you referring to the lashing gear? If so 9 pieces, just needed to get one side right, then do a mirror image. It's easy to work with small bits, got used to not straining the eyes...what's hard is knowing when to stop!...Otherwise who the heck is going to notice after all the paint gets over it!
