I'm very happy that so many of you find this idea interesting!
BTW: since this is an open-era campaign and defeat is the key to success (strange phrase isn't it? ) maybe we should inform our friends from Historicus Forma - they are specialising in stuff older than WWI and different types of figures other than our favourit 1/35 and 1/72 AFVs, ain't they?

@ Bruce - I'm involved in 9 campaigns here and 1 at Aeroscale - we can make it . If you would be able to start we could always consider extension (this came up quite early this time ).

As long as it's not just restricted to the 20-21st centuries I'm in, I've had a couple dio ideas for years, i just have not been able to pull them off.

Any era is allowed so if you want to join us with i.e. Napoleonic Wars - you're welcome!

Andrzej

Hi all!
I'm happy to anounce that we're officialy approved by Mark, and you can enlist to this campaign HERE.
I'll try to propose a banner and a ribbon soon.

We can all start planning!

I'm in.
Treadhead12 suggested I build the resulting consequences of my diorama Hold on and now would be as good a time as any. It’s just that the diorama is already completed, all I have to do is make the destroyed/burned out Tiger and I can set that right in front of the Tiger already there. I just have to double check my supply for the right parts. The Zim will be an interesting problem to over come.
Anyway I’m in,
Bob

Enlisted. I have the idea, the figures (or at least most of them) and time to do what research I might need to; I'm psyched

Hi.
I've made banners and ribbon for our campaign. I hope you like them. If you have other ideas for banners feel free to suggest them.

And the ribbon: Broken Sword Award

This is how it will look in your profiles:

We have exactly 6 months for making plans. BTW: I'll let know guys on other sites, maybe some people from Historicus Forma, Shipwrights or Aeroscale would be interested.

Damn it , I don't have place to build it, I have never built a dio, I have never used an airbrush and I haven't built anything for 18 years BUT I will set this as my goal for my first build since way back when. I have been itching to start again for about 18 months now....just don't have anywhere to build

I am in, with this timeframe anything is possible but I think I will have to go for a small vignette....just got to buy a new house first with an office/hobby room for me. Hopefully that will be taken care of during this summer

Lars,
I'm so flattered that you've chosen joining my campaign as a target with returning to modelmaking you cannot possibly imagine .
BTW - don't worry... my hobby room is also my computer room, guitar room, wardrobe, music listening room etc...

Alright! Here we go again.

I figured out my dio in 1/48 scale: A stug IV in thick mud / light snow with the crew staring at empty fuel cans/ fuel stock equipment, and a line of wounded, dirty infantry going by looking at them (all in retreat . ). I had some more gory ideas but I'll play it cool for now.

Great campaign idea - I'll post a pic of the kits when my camera charges.

Happy defeats everyone

Hi,
It's nice to see that plenning has already started.
I want to burn and partially sink in mud/river this old Panther G from Tamiya.

I also want to put these guys walking next to it:

pictures taken from producers' web sites

I've never damaged a model before so this is going to be huge learning experience for me.

I'm going to crash the airfix 1/76 kubelwagen into a signpost reading tunis, perhaps being passed by a sdkfz 7. depends on how I am for space. This'll be the first time I make a dio, save from the ones that came in matchbox kits oh so long ago. Looking forward to it.

I hope that some plains will be crushed down and some ships will sink during this campaign as well - I've posted invitation to our friends from Aeroscale and Model Shipwrights.

Hi Bruce!
It will be great to work with you once more!
BTW. If you have something started for Airborne already I think I will make an extention for it (about a month or so).

hello Andrzej,
sorry, but i did not start any of my figures for the Airborne campaign
would a DE sinking with a lot of battle damage and men either dead on the decks or in the water/on rafts be OK for this campaign.
it will be great working with you also and it will be good seeing your great Dio builds.
i hope all's well with you and your family.
cheers,
Bruce

You're idea fits here like a glove. I really hope for diversity of dioramas in this campaign so I would be very happy to see your idea visualized.
BTW - my family is OK, thank you very much for asking. My son's teeth are cutting through right now so he's not very happy at the moment, but he's strong and healthy boy, so everything is as good as possible (he is just a bit heavy and my back hurts like 100 devils... ).

Another great idea Andrzej. Nice to see your enthousiasm in campaigns!

Although I've had little to no time for modeling (and thus campaigns) last time, I hope of course I will have time again somewhere in august Will keep a close eye on this one, might join as well!

hello Andrzej,
try to rub a little scotch, whiskey, etc. on the gums.it will deaden the pain.but just use a very little bit on a Q-tip.
for you back, try using a bottle of whiskey, scotch, etc by mouth per day.it should take care of the backpain.
cheers,
Bruce
