@bpunchy - thanks a lot. I've bought a Legend Productions (LF1159) IDF Up-armored Humvee Conversion set for this model. Are there any photos of Your M1025 in the web?

@Plasticbattle - Gary (troubble27) and I have built an open version of US Marines Humvee in different camo - pictures of both models above. But I and, I guess Gary too, were inspired by picture of original vehicle found in the web, not by this series. I've seen it after completing my model. And of course I think of building another Humvee from 1st Recon in this interesting camo You're talking about. But it's now very low on my Humvee-to-build list.

Hi Frank,
I've only recently discovered GK on Bravo. The Humvees do look good. I'm surprised no 2 are the same.... I'm tempted to try doing a make-over of one of my older efforts into one from the series. Think I'll heve to get the box set first!

Cheers,
Sean
P.S. Are you goin to IMSS Show at the weekend?

I like the Marine one in winter camo...

My next two will be the IDF Tow conversion and the Calibre open cab after-market set, but it'll be a while before I get to start.

Keep posting the pics!

Sean, keep posting the pics too!

I've decided, my next one will be Portuguese ISAF Humvee, and Marines one in winter camo will come later.

Excellent collection there guys well done!!

I'm madly in love with model Humvees, Ive just as many built as I do have in my unbuilt stash!

Heres some of my models if anyone is interested, therer are a few other bits in my profile kitmaker page;

http://www.warwheels.net/ModelM1114HmmwvKinsella.html

I have a plan to build one or two of the 1st Recon Marine Humvees from Generation kill (I read both books and loved the mini-series)

The Infamous camo pattern wouldnt be as hard as you might think. The pattern is sprayed using a US type camo net drapped over the enitire vehicle, I have a Photo-etch US Camo net in my stash so will use that when the calling comes

The problem will be the figures, US Marines in MOPP gear are hard to come by and there are only a few out there, just two from MIG Productions and none in driving position so alot of adapting would have to be done if you wished to add the figures!

Maybe someone like Bravo-6 could pull something out of the hat in the future (wink wink)

Great thread guys, keep it up!

Thanks Kuba, your giving me a good run for my money with your huge collection!

I have about 16 1/35th scale Humvees that come to mind, when i get home later I must make a proper count..

Other Humvees built in my collection that I have not put up anywhere on the net yet are;

* KFOR shelter Carrier,
* 2003 OIF M998 (in a diorama with nemrod figures.
* An Uparmoured ASK Maxi Ambulance (scratch built conversion).
* Irish Defence Forces URO Vamtac (Spanish humvee design)

I have a number to be built from scratch too, including;
* IDF Hard Humvee
* Hardtop Humvee
* and I'm playing around with scratching an M1151 with all the gucchi gear and Rhino

..I'm looking forward to entering a few of these in the suggested Humvee Campaign which is being planned on another thread

Keep them humvees rolling man, your an inspiration!

Irish Defence Forces URO Vamtac (Spanish humvee design) ???
This one you have to post a pic of Roy.

Now, I'm off to check out your collection and to find this Humvee campaign to put my name down.

Humvee's rock!

Actually, I'm thinking of doing a post-apocalypse Humvee similar to what this guy has done with a Land Rover:
28 Months Later

Should be a bit of fun!

Thanks again Kuba, you spoil me

Brent the shelter carrier is from realmodels.cz (Shelter Carier S-250). The Tail bumper comes with the Realmodel kit. The HMMWV is just a Tamiya kit with Revell "canvas" doors and roof bits. The Amber strobe light fixture is Accurate Armour

The shelter is really just a huge block of resin and the model now weighs an absolute ton

Very nice Roy. The shelter carrier is great just because you rarely see this version done. I'll be looking forward to detail pics of your Iraq one. Also, did you scratch-build the windows in the side doors of the ambulance?

Here's what's next on my bench:

Hi Sean

Check out the Iraq dio in "1/35 Generation Kill. Sgt Colberts Humvee." thread

..you have the making of a good kit there, the Calibre 35 open cab kit is great (a little over priced though)

In regard to the ambulance i scratchbuilt the armour skirts, doors and windows. Its quite easy and relativly cheaper than those PE sets on the market, just get yourself some thin plastic card, a pen, ruler, a sharp craft knife and your done!

Enjoy your humvee, keep us posted on the build!

..I'll have a 1/35 Irish Defence Forces Special Forces Ford F-350 on the work bench soon so stay tuned
