Great work so far, James, interior looks very good. Excellent work on those tracks and, well, all around! This ones been sitting on my 'ready' shelf for way too long, so I'll be following along with great interest.

Good job on salvaging this one James...the driver's plate on the interior surfaces won't be very visible so the fact that you were able to clean up the exterior is the true win. Got to be careful with the bottles of liquid glue. I always try to keep the glue bottle away from the parts I'm working on but accidents are always possible.

Hi

well if it's any consulation you are not alone. I like the glue you are using, and I also have the same glue in a chunky plastic bottle with fine metal tube applicator. That keeps clogging so my reason for going to brush and bottle.

It's gone over about four times, way too tall and thin. I've topped it back up from my blocked plastic dispenser ones each time !!

I guess it's time we came up with a stand to put the bottle in, even if it's a wide piece of polystyrene with a circular hole cut in it to push the bottle into would make it more stable and less likely to tip over.

Nice recovery though.

I was lucky each time just a covered cutting mat and some bench space.

Alan

Hey Alan, i used the tube applicator, and that kept clogging, but more recently , they have been letting out too much or too litlle glue
that polystyrene sounds like a good idea, i had to save mums table before i saved the part

James,

2 items of curiosity...1) what's the story behind the kanji-like characters on the rear engine deck? and 2) are you intending to fit the lower seat cushions for the crew seats in the interior? Those metal bottoms would be awful uncomfortable without them.

Interior work is looking very good, making good progress, you'll be done in no time!
