Same here. Yesterday I kept getting an error accessing the Kitmaker main page, had to find a back route through armorama to get in. Hopefully back to normal again soon!

Hi

I've just managed to get connected after many many attempts. I thought it was my computer and did a system restore to no avail. Started happening yesterday, I mostly get an error message which if I remember correctly says "No data found. The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again."

If I do manage to connect it takes ages for pages to load.

Clearly with others having the same issues it sounds like you have some problems. Hope everything is backed up, and things are restored to normal as soon as possible.

Hi

Touch wood, it now appears back to almost normal. Certainly page loads although initial connection still took a while.

Yes I apologize. I have made some changes to make the gallery run better and I think they are leading to some instability. Obviously the settings will have to go back to the way they were and the gallery will have to deal with it's issues and not bring down the whole site in the process.

Thanks for your patience.

Yes it would appear we are getting hit by some kind of DOS attack. Our hosting company is looking at the issue and is promising some kind of imminent action to squelch them.

Hi all! I just ried to look at a photo feature and got this:

Error connecting to dbkitmaker_maindb
Program: /home/kitmaker/public_html/mainfile2.php - Line N.: 56
Database: kitmaker_maindb
Error (2002) :

And the site seemed pretty slow so far today.

Hope the above info helps.

Cheers,
Jan

I ended up taking the day off from work to deal with this issue. It's one that has been a pesky problem for a few years now but hasn't reared it's head for a while. We are getting pounded by Chinese IP addresses (site downloaders probably). Anyways their IP addresses are being gathered and banned as I write this.

Sorry for the outages.

Jim
