This idea came to me while watching Tank Overhaul, my idea is you have to take an old model that is already constructed and then re-do the paint work, decals, any repairs that need doing and changing parts around. The time frame would be early 2010 to about June/July. Any thoughts on this idea?

Interesting idea.
Do shelved conversion and other project count? God knows I've got some.

As longs as the model was built before January 1st 2010 then it can be overhauled! So i give you quite a range of models to construct

The main reason I'm so enthusiastic about it... I've done some major repairs of my car this month and I have to buy insurance for it so my credit card is smoking hot already...

Would adding a Super Pershing Update to a built M26 count as Overhaul?
If so, I'm in!

Quick question Does the model really have to be painted in the first place because I was going to overhaul something thats just primed and swap allot of the parts for AM bits
is that ok?

Hi guys,
Good to see that there is some intrest in this campaign!
Yes, aslong as you adapt a model it is fine!
Jaymes it does count because it is already built and it is in a way painted, just not fully. As for lots of AM parts then that just makes it perfect!
Cheers

Been doing that for years! I still have models I built back in the 70's and 80's. As my skills improve I strip them down and rebuld and repaint them. Very fun to do, and I paint the dates that I originaly built the models on the inside and a rebuilt date if I rebuild them. Fun stuff!

Lewis, sounds like a fantastic campaign. I've got quite a few builds that are both old and were damaged during years of house renovations/upgrades. Not to mention my limited skills at the time they were constructed. I'd most likely find a campaign like this hard if not impossible to resist.
Cheers,
Jan

Hi all,
I'd be up for this one, with a bit of luck it'll get accepted as a campaign. I've got an old 1/35 Tamiya Sherman that is dying for a bit of a revamp...

I have a few of those that need overhauled.
