hello all
here the first pics of my current project
i planning to build a Stryker RV (my favourite version ) on the AFV club kit and convert them
i will use some parts from the Trumpy kit as the LRAS3 look so nice, and the sizes are correct for the 35th scale (the hull look over sized, but some pieces are accurate)
in first i have made the sagging of the tires in filling the tires with miliput
and in pressing the chassis, we obtain the natural sagging of tires
and i began to build the interior, i hadn't lot of ref pics, but i tried to make an interior as accurate as possible
i know the interior isn't perfect, but with approximately 15pics, it's hard to make the interior correct
i would make an original stryker, and try to raise the challenge
more to follows stay tuned, i will make the modifications for M-1127, and add the slat armor
hope you like it
and i'm sorry for my poor english
i would to thanks all people who help me off line for my project, big thanks all

excellent scratchbuilding!all that from only 15 pics?nicely done
you seem to have blown the budget of a small country on all those aftermarket goodies,i think as soon as i pay off the credit cards i may have enough to build a Stryker in Iraq (all that slat armour is slightly scary )
good work fella, will be following this one

Superb work on that interior!
Could you tell which sets you're gonna use? It's hard to see them on the photo.

many thanks for your kind comments guys, i'm really enjoy you like it
many thanks
for the slat armor i will use the Pro Art Model one, i think it's the better for me, and really complete (add on armor, exhaust cover, and kind accessories inclued)
i will use too the Rhino system from blast model, and Duke antennas from blast model
i will use the twice stowages sets frome blast
for the figures i will use the alpines products they're look so fine, i hope to paint correctly the ACU
and lot of plastic stripes and metal folds
hello!
for the screen with keybord, i used the parts from the pro art model set of modern radios
i used too the SINGCARS set from same company
the rest it's total scratching
i don't more pics in progress because as i said you by email, i know my interior is inacurate because i haven't enough of ref pics, and don't drawing plans
i wouldn't my works is a bad example for other modelers
thanks all for your comments

Sorry about that guys i got your names mixed up i should have payed closer attention. So it seems both of you are working on similar builds with interiors.
@rembert your build is looking great and can't wait to see what else you do with the interior.
@Sebastien having seen your work on your stryker kit i know it will be nice.

I think you're interior has come out pretty good, it looks accurate enough, the main areas that are hard for references is the area behind the drivers position. Im thinking about scratch building an interior too, but need for references on the side walls of the interior and the roof fixtures. There was talk a while ago on pro art models releasing an interior set.
If you have more pics of you interior Rembert would you mind emailing them to me, id be interested in having a closer look at what you have done. I realize its not 100% accurate but id like to use yours as a reference.

Hi Jean, thanks very much I look forward to receiving the email!
Yes, I have that book its very good. Not sure if you are aware either but issue 147 of Tamiya model magazine has an article on the recon stryker, I dont have the issue to hand but there are some useful interior shots I believe, its definitely work getting hold of.

Just seen this , in a word...amazing . Love the interior.
Just ordered the same book for myself for a model I want to work on. Wish I had the skills to do an interior like yourself. Well done.
John.

Very nice build Jean-Thomas. C'est tres bien!
I see you also have some of the Concord reference books. They're quite good, but few interior pics. I'll check by stack of books and for any decent interior pics
Cheers,
Sean
