I am officialy in!
I'll do either Rommel's Greif (I know, very original) or a leFH18.
First I have to finish some other stuff, though....

ye olde airfix recon set,
The 222 to be built more or less as is
the kubel wagen to made as a wreck.

I'm making no apologies for the choice
but it is not one for the purist, however you
just cannae beat it.

Airfix are the pot-noodle of modelling and I mean
that in the best possible way.

Hey Bruce, I know I'm in but have no idea what I'll be building yet.....it will most likely be in the 38(t) family though.

Hey Bruce.
Took the weekend to finish up that SWMBO list.
These photos are what I'm trying to make into a diorama;

I made a small one for my Grandfather with a Stuart Hony stopped and the guys out taking photos. It was only the first picture and since then I also found the second that shows the signs kept on going. This time I'll just be having a Bishop driving by.

Hope everyone gets a good start,
Bob

hi all. i've been looking forward to this campaign for a while now.
i will be building DML's panzer III J.
i will be putting it in a dio based in Egypt or Tunisia, with tristars tropical panzer crew. I won't be building this for a month or so however because i want to get DML's T 34/85 (bedspring) out the way.

Hello everybody, I will be participating with the very old but venerable Tamiya's SdkFz. 223. I started this kit about one week ago. Extreamly easy to build. It only took a couple of hours.

Some details were added as follows:

Using alluminum from a beer can mudgards were replaced:

Hinge for the stow box.

Width markers replaced with wire and soldering....

Modifications to the original shovel...

Water container support....

Before painting:

Base coat of Panzergray Tamiya, followed by semigloss lacquer....

Desert yellow airbrushed and then removed in certain areas with a damp alcohol cloth...

So far those are the updates.... coming soon some filters and other weathering stuff....

(T.O.P - Totally off topic)
Hey Bruce!
How are you? Hope your doing well!

On topic:
I let you guys decide.
Should I go for a pretty much standard SdKfz 250/3 Greif

or for a leFH18 gunpit with crew at ease?

Hello All,
@Ron,
I am doing well. No problems so far with all of the bodywork done to me. Thanks for asking.
How is everything with you and your family? I hope alls well.
@Mirko,
No problem, You might want to save the Stg lll for the next Blitz Campaign. It should start the first of the year, It will be called Blitzkrieg 3: Italy.
Cheers,
Bruce

Here is what I am going to be building for this campaign.

It will have to wait awhile before I start as I am still in the middle of another campaign and I dislike having more than one project going on at a time. I should be able to get started on this one by the middle to end of June.

Thanks,

HARV

Randy, I have built that kit a few years ago, it's a very old kit, lack of details, decals were a mess, gun too. Only 2 good things I can remember, Tamyia fitting quality and very cheap... real cheap.

Hope you fun with it !

ony 2 sprues? a DML kit would have 3 times that. I guess if it's cheap though then you'd expect that.

hope you can make something good from it.

Great to see this campaign of to a good start. I am in with a Pz. IV. ausf. E in desert colours or an Italian AB40/41. Just have a few other models to finish first.

Ron, I think you should go for the leFH18. It would be interesting to see how that one turns out.

Randy, nice choice. An oldie but a goodie. A good project if one has just been through PE and resin hell with another kit. I am sure it will turn out nice.

Thanks guys,

This kit is one of the 104 kits that I acquired a few years back when I purchased a person's whole collection (see my first ever post). I figured that I just as well build it since I had it. I was surprised by the small amount of pieces when I opened it up. Anyway I figured it might turn out alright, we will see. I guess any lack of detail can be can be fixed by adding extra gear. Hopefully I will be able to start on it in a couple of weeks.

Thanks again,

HARV

Here is my entry........1/35 Plus Model Morris British Light Artillery Tractor. Full Resin kit. I ordered the Verlinden SAS British figures for this build as well. The Palm and base are scatch. This is the first resin kit for me. Quite a bugger, If I may say so. Oh well, what does not kill us.........
Enjoy the pix! Robert Liles

Hello Rob,
Great looking kit and build. It looks like the one of them is carrying a MP-40. I do like the base, What did you use for the sand? The detailing looks great, Thanks for sharing and for the great Photo's. Thanks for participating in the Campaign.
Cheers,
Bruce

Excellent build, Rob. The figures and the truck looks nice. The sign gives a good background and you can almost feel the heat and thirst.

The only nickpick is that the figures and the truck kind of floats on the sand. I would expect that the truck and figures would sink in a little bit in the sand.

Overall, a great diorama. Thanks for participating in the campaign.

thats a lovely dio there. my one criticism is that there is a lot of empty space in the front corner which throws the scene off balance. perhaps you could add a little thorn bush or some scrubby grass just to lliven up that area.

Just started my Dragon Panzer I DAK nr6207.
Removing wheels and suspension from sprues, cleaning, nothing much so far.
