Hi Stephen, the vehicle looks fantastic!
Your model has a mat surface, instead of the glossy like the other one. Do you want to build a small section of street or road for it?
What about Miniart´s Country diorama, which was shown on this page?

Thank you for the kind words. Yes it would be great to do a diorama with some soldiers hanging about trying to impress the local farm girls and maybe dad standing by with a pitchfork. I am always open for diorama possibilities.

Haha, I also had an idea like this. That´s great!
In my opinion, vehicles like these should be clean as possible. (a little bit of dirt is allowed)
So the idea with the soldiers and the farmgirls is perfect. (something to smile, for the persons, who see the pictures)
I didn´t found figures like these on german hobby shops, so I cannot help with companies, who makes them.

Well the soldiers could be Tamiya. But I am sure Preiser of Germany might have some civilian figures that could easily be modified. I just wonder if Preiser would have 1/35? There are some interesting figures out there. I think I saw a dead cow on the Home page some time back. Possibly a misfire from the Vickers turret gun and an unhappy farmer?

Yes, there are many figure-model companies, also Preiser has some.
But there are only a few for this WW1-period.
The "misfire" (perhaps) while cleanig the vehicle or so), would be a nice idea.
And the unhappy farmer in the background, standing now near the death cow.

A great build Stephen and so much more detailed than my effort (but thanks for the kind comments everyone). Although I built the engine and painted it, I didn't bother overly detailing it ance I'd decided that the bonnet wasn't going to be open.
My paint was mixed from Tamiya colours until I got it to match the Bovington example as close as possible. Once it was painted I glossed it over to get the 'museum' look I wanted.
I don't have anything planned for her other than to sit on my study windowsill along with the remainder of my WWI to present day RTC/RTR collection. I'm up to 18 so far not counting the 3RTR vehicles with 11 Armd Div which is another collection I'm working on.

About the colour here is what Stuart sent back to me.
"Stephen, Sorry for the delay in my reply I have been on leave and my out-of-office email facility failed to work. Our 1920 Pattern Rolls Royce AC exhibit is painted in the shade of green which we found on our Crossley AC exhibit and would be fitting for UK and Ireland but may have been used further afield. Colour references are very problematical. For RR ACs in India it gets decidedly difficult to pin down what colours were used as we have no written sources on the matter and they can only be interpreted through analysis of original photographs which is an art rather than a science. Best regards"
Stuart sent along this bit of fun.

Another Aeroscale Contributing Member has asked if he could could do a kit. Since I am upto my neck in plastic kits I figured it would get built sooner if I offered it to him. Our man "Vanize" is getting the The Rolls Royce.
