Hy Bill!
Thanks!
The final tiger is going to be tiger 233 from pz.abt 510...I think. It has a very weird camo pattern that I like.
I'm planning to fix the tracks with...mud.
And modify only the replacements links to have hollow guide horns.
The karaya tracks are very good in my opinion. All you need is a good needle file and something to cut the wire. In 10seconds max I finnish cleaning a link, if I had a bad needle file I would need to swet a little.

Hello again Paul
That wash has brought out the minor detail like the weld seams and some of the finer detail work you have put into the build really nicely.
Keep up the good work, mate!

Bill, that is one great blog! Thanks for the link.
Ages passed and no progress. Lately I decied to once again work on it.
The tracks are in place and some part of the weathering is done. I wish I had a better photo camera.

Paul,
You have taken the Academy kit ("hush you mouth . . . ) and turned it into a work of art! Very impressive.
![](../modules/SquawkBox/images/smilies/embeer.gif)
The figures look fantastic on that huge beast. Will you be placing this on a dio? Looks like there getting ready to go and ruin someone's bingo party!
I wasn't sure if I would ever take the time to put my Academy kit together but after seeing what you've done with yours, mine won't be sitting on the self to much longer . . . if it could just turn out half as good as your example I'll be happy.
Thanks for sharing your work and for those great photos too! I've saved them on my computer for inspiration.

Thanks guys for the kind words!
I'll place him on a simple display base named "Kameraden".
The Academy kit is a very nice one but it's just needs a lot of work(more than I've put in it

Just strayed here from Aeroscale. I'm blown away. I can only hope that one day I will be able to produce something approaching this level of modelling. Well done, Paul.

Finished the karaya tracks. They are and look pretty good. Nothing like good old metal tracks I guess.
Now I'm waiting for some nice upgrades for this big cat.

Hi Paul. Two very interesting builds. You made a great job on the early version, both build-wise and painting. The figures really give it something extra ... its a pity they are all facing different directions.

OK. Time to be Mr Picky Rivet-Counter...
![](../modules/SquawkBox/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Very early in your blog you showed a picture of some type of adapter on the back og the Tiger. It is a nice, clear photo and it clearly shows some large knobs on the top and bottom parts of the item, yet in the photos of your build you have not got the knobs on the adapter.
How's that for picky!!
Oh, by the way, the Tiger looks magnificent..

Hy guys!
It's been a long time since the last post.
@Frank
True...True...but imagine the time I would have spent making them face the same direction.
@Warren
Hope David answered your question.
Here's some update: a wooden base, some zimmerit(milliput & AFV roller tool) and lots of PE ahead.

Hello Paul!
Very nice job on the Zimmerit sir! As Bill stated, a good neat job, I like the slight variation in the columns, and the damaged areas. It will look awesome with paint on! Kudos my friend, excellent piece of work.
Cheers for pasting!

That is one sweet build. The weatheing is just too darn real. The figures add that much of the theme of war to the display . I would however, move the rifleman sitting blocking the drivers view a bit over. Excellent work.
Too little time, too many models to build..........
