Thanks all for all the nice words! I'm truly flattered.
Ernie, that would be ok as all the crew is outside.
Had a really tough year, hope I'll have more time from now on for my hobbies.
Thanks again for reminding me that I'm very late on finishing this big cat.

Zimmerit on the gun mantle. This time I used the end tips of the AFV tool. It made wonders. Actually I'm really impressed by this simple tool.

Am I a slow builder or what?!?
Finally finished the zimmerit and added lots of PE. Still not done but I'm on the home run.

Paul - Fantastic work! The zimmerit looks perfect and my hat's off to anyone who can sit through that much PE. If I lived next door I'd be over all the time to watch how you do it.

Absolutey excellent Paul! I think it issuch a fine build that it is a shame to cover up all your handywork with paint... But I still cannot wait to see this kitty in her 'colours'!
Great stuff Paul, Cheers Phil!

@tomapaul - Paul,
You're not the only slow builder around here . . .
LOL! Well worth the wait. Magnificent job on the early Tiger I. That Zimmerit job on your late Tiger I is awesome. You and a couple of the guys here must be getting together and practicing a bunch, cause it looks so realistic already and you haven't even painted over the Zim yet! All of your photo-etch work is tops.
Looking forward to more. No rush, it's always worth the wait!

Thanks! Glad you guys like it.
I'm satisfied with the zimm too. Despite being worried when I started to do it with milliput I guess it turned out OK. The big difference was that I used sun flower oil to smooth the milliput layer. This acted as a very good solution against the stickiness and surprisingly it didn't affect the milliput what so ever.

Gee Whizz Paul! This is simply excellent progress & well worth the wait. Like you, I haven't exactly been fast this year, but at least you are making more progress than me!
Cheers mate.

Thanks guys!
Ehhh...again...after a gazillion days off, I think I'm 100% done with this baby. The tracks took a vinegar&bleach bath. Not the blacken-it effect...but at least they're not shiny and silvery.
Not it's time for my favorite part.

Hi,
Thanks guys!
It's my favorite WWII AFV too. But after this much time spent on these two babies I feel like I've built ten of them. I'm pretty fed up with it.
Here is a sneak peak of what it looks like so far. Couldn't help myself and went for the white winter camo again. Don't know why but it suits him... at least in my eyes.
Used the hairspray technique...again... Then a lot of retouching with oils. Now, I know it looks like a train wreak but most of that red is actually part of the underlying camo. Hope you guys like it.
Still a lot of work to be done but here it goes...two pictures.
Thanks guys!

Thanks!
After a set o washes and filters(again...oils) it comes closer to the image of what I expect it to turn out in the end.

I still have a little bit to do (mostly the tracks) but I don't think will change much. The redness will go away ...
So here are the last photos:
