Hi All,
Hi Lars, I found this story in a book that I read..."Steel Victory" by Harry Yeide. {page #203, if anyone has the book}.
On December 19, 1944, two Company B tanks from the 70th Tank Battalion were in Osweiler during an intense artillery and mortar barrage. As the buildings were colapsing around them, one bathroom, less bathtub, was blown away, and the commode and sink came to rest on one tank's rear deck. The crew immediately complained about the lack of bathing facilities.
So that's what my dio will depict.
Ok, here is some more progress I made today...
I worked on some of the stone work of the broken walls. I used this air-hardening modeling clay that I got at my local craft store. You get about 20 minutes working time with it before it starts getting to hard.
You start by adding some white glue
Add a nice size clump of the clay
Using a sculping tool you work the clay and blend the edges in
If the clay starts getting hard, you can use water to help soften it up and to blend any extra clay you would went to add
As the clay start to harden up, start forming your stone work
Using a small wire brush I gave the stone work a few love taps to add some more texture
Later I well be adding some dust and debris to add even more texture.
That's it for now,
Cheers
Kirk
