Looks like Trumpeters B-4 howitzer. I think, it was easier to build, than Alanīs version... which was described in another topic here.
Nice model!
Were there any problems with the barrel-parts? As I seen on some pictures, there are 2 different parts, which probably do not fit correctly.
greetings...

Not really Soeren just a little work with some putty and Fexi-file.
Nice kit and a dream to build.
The Shell holders gave me the most problems.
Cheers and soon onto the sFH 18

Ohh, your next project is the sFh18. Fine, fine!
Iīve built Trumpeterīs 10cm sK18 into a dio. The kit is the same as the sFh18, but with another barrel and breech. Trumpeterīs both kits are not as good in realism as Dragonīs version, but a lot better in price.
I wait for the big "17cm Kanone 18".
greetings...

I am with you on that .
And thanks for the reply
Wish that Dragon would of done the B4 ,now I would not still be trying to remove that seam at the Cradle.
Will get the Big 17 Cm.
Wish that somebody would do the the 122 MM Russian one now.
Working on it.
What color those Russian shells?
Same as ours?

For the russian shells possibly this could help. Miniart made an 152mm set.
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/news/5568
A russian 122mm howitzer was made by Zvezda and other russian companies, it was the M-30.
Did you mean this?

Hmm, also a russian 122mm WW2 howitzer in 1/35 is the "2A19". As I remember correctly, the manufacturer was a french resin-kit-maker. I donīt know the name yet.
Hmm, a bit offtopic...what I build.
My actual project is my Trumpeter "schwere 10cm Kanone 18" in a snowed landscape dio.
I started it in december last year and after some months, I thought to be ready.
But now, I think, I have to rework this a bit.
Thats no "in-action dio".
The build log is here on the page and will be continued. The build-feature is completed, but needs some correction and additions.
I will add some plants on the dio, also I bought some ammo... but I use only the empty shells/metal-cases.
Also I tried to scratchbuild a wooden box, made of plastic.
There are some more projects, which I build on... but that would be to much for writing here.
greetings...

Hmm, the track looks a bit "naked". Perhaps, Friulmodel and other companies plan to make their own metal/plastic replacement tracks.
I have a metal-track for the (unbuilt) 1/35 "2S1 Gvosdika" howitzer, which looks really nice and well detailed.

I was thinking along the same line Soeren, but as only like 38 links a side wonder if they will do them and charge $50.00 for them.

Jeff, what color mix did you use on the track? I am ready to paint mine, and might copy the museum picture color, since that doesn't look like paint. Also, you might want to paint where the rubber tire on the limber sets. This may prevent the rubber from dissolving the plastic.
I painted sub assemblies of my kit,so as to get good coverage in all the nooks and crannies.

First Tamiya flat black followed by a mix of Vallejo Gunmetal and Metallic Gray about 60 40.
I hope that it will not dissolve the dang things as they do not ft to good anyway.
I will take your advice and do it.
Thanks Rob appreciated.
Started on the weathering a long way to go.
But I do like this kit except for a few oops in the design.

Looks yery good!
Did you planned to paint the leather-parts of the seats? In another discussion, the color could be black or brown.
For the tracks, 38 links per side is very few, possible is there no production.
But some weeks or months later, we will see some aftermarket parts, I think. (barrel, pe-parts...)
greetings...

Thanks Soeren.
Then another kit is in store to say add a barrel and those tracks.
Seats painted in Brown leather and now starts the weathering and lighting.

Starting Mud.
I see that some seat touch up is needed also.
To bad our eyes cannot catch it like the dang camera can.
Really like this kit.
Better if somebody made metal tracks, hint hint.
Shell color anybody know of it's color?
Ammo and I guess bags of powder also.
Did the Russians paint those lever handles in Red like at some sites or just a show deal?
Dang I see the hand wheel a little out of kilter dang that camera.
Thanks

Great job,Jeff.
I was thinking of some kind of mettalic grey mis too,for my track.I fixed the seating of the rubber tires into the limber wheels,by filing the grooves in the wheels deeper and wider with a small square file I happen to have.
Worked like a champ.

How did you made the darker mud? Did you used pigments?
The weathering and "dirty-ing" looks very good!
edit:
Miniart made an ammo-set, which is shown here. This is for an 152mm gun, but the colors should be the same.

Oh,Jeff,BTW, I was looking at the russian museum piece, and there was a bolt by bolt walk around series of pictures. They showed the cable on the reels going back through the mount to the lower corners of the breech. I guess the gun was hand cranked back into battery after firing.
Or maybe cranked into firing battery from traveling position?
