OK, that's fixed somewhat but the fit in the front is pretty funny IMHO.

A beauty it is Dimitry! The front idler wheels are indeed a bit to wide. I had some difficulties too to get the tracks right. I almost finished the fenders but not realy interesting to show at the moment.

Looking forward to your next update!

Wow!!! That's a nice looking T-62; You feel that you don't want to weather it. I bought one myself, I'll be looking forward to how it turns it out.

Thank you for sharing these pics!

It might not be perfect but what an amazing looking tank. I can't wait to get one.

The T-62 looks great in "Dmitry Green"!

It's a shame about the idler bugaboo and resultant track positioning, though. Does this happen on just one side of the tank, or both? You would think that someone at Trumpeter would have caught this sort of error before the kits went into production.

Hmm, from the beginning I took a look at our build-log. The tank looks really good!
But what is the problem with the tracks now? I can not see anything...

Hi Paul, The last few are taken with Nikon D700. Most initial ones are with a D5000. But really it us mostly PhotoShop. HTH, Dmitry

Soeren, Kit tracks are fine, very good actually, I just like workable tracks for my models. These are MasterClub, but I really recommend Modelkasten.

Yoni, I think both sides are the same. It may just be my screw up too. In any case, somewhat fixable.

Gentlemen,

So far on my build, I used the Traxz damaged road wheels and the drive/idler sprockets from the Tamiya T55. I have the ModelKasten tracks on it and everything lined up perfectly.
I didn't have to do any surgery to get things to fit.

Great build and lovely painting!

It has probably been mentioned earlier in a previous post, but why does the front Idler sit strnagely like that? Is it a fault in the kit?

Hi Jon, I dont know if its my fault or how it is. I am not the best at this, myself.

Did some weathering today.

Well the painting and the rest of the build is great! So I'm sure it's not your lack of skills!

It will be interesting to see if anyone else has the same issues, maybe your kit was an unlucky one?

One more. I think I really like weathering with Humbrol flat enamels. I cant belive I've never tried it in 5 years of this hobby

What Humbrol enamels dd you use and what did you 'suspend' them in ?

Explain your process please... the result is first rate

Paul, They are mixed with Webber odorless turpenoid. Humbrol thinner seems to make too many tide marks.
I also mix in oil paint colors too, Its pretty easy, just try it.
Here is where I am now.
