I think it is too early still, but closer to the start if you want I can make a public announcement over the M-L 1/48th DG to see if some of the guys there join us as well. Anyways Armorama is one huge comunity, so I have the confidence more members will join in the incoming weeks and months hopefully.
That would be great, we can always use more advertisement.
I'm sure more people will join once we get closer to the start date and when people realize there is a prize involved...
Btw, Gary Kato is in the process of finding out the formal details about a contest and he'll get back to us as soon as there are some news. Once that's clear and we have decided on a sponsor I will submit the campaign (one of the benefits of having a late start date is there is no rush...
)

I like your 1/48 symbol pic.
Yeah, I was thinking about something like that for the ribbon. Any objections?

Hello fellow 48ers!
Here's the reply I got from Gary concerning the proposed contest element of the campaign:
Quoted Text
The replies I've received from the staff seem to say that if a sponsor wants to provide an award on their own website, that is fine. However there will be no support as with DMoM simply because DMoM is our contest and that isn't getting much member participation as it is. It's felt that the campaign ribbon should be enough of an award for campaigns. Campaigns are meant for everyone to have fun building no matter what their skill level and not competing. If people want to compete here on Armorama, there is our own DMoM.
In this case I will just submit the campaign as is and we'll jsut have some fun and leave it up to the individual participants to enter the DMoM. Are you ok with that Bruce?
Cheerio!

Hello Stefan,
That is fine with me. I will send you a PM in the next few days to discus some stuff.
Cheers,

Campaign approved. I've made this the official thread. It will be made sticky and a campaign gallery created when the campaign starts in September.

Signed up,
Hopefully get some of my unstarted projects finished in time, and maybe a small diorama that has been on my mind for some time.

Just Enlisted. Of course, now I realize I've depleted my stash of 1/48th, but plenty of time before September to figure out what to build.

Hi all!
Andrzej sent me the ribbon (Thanks very much!) and I toyed around a bit over the weekend as well. So I suggest we have a vote on the ribbons (and I will leave off who did which on purpose):
Number 1:
and number 2:
By the way, the colors are "in honor" of the two major plastic companies producing 48th scale kits (Tamiya and Hobby Boss).
Feel free to submit your own ribbon design or suggestions for improvements!
Cheerio!

Seems we have some new members judging from the signup!
Any takers on our little vote on the ribbons?
Cheers!

I have been thinking about what I want to do,I'm probably going to go with the early Stug III ,the one with the Schurzen, along with some AM goodies, and if I can find some figures,I was involved in an FSM group build for 1/48 and it was good,si I'm looking foward to this one here.

Good choice! My choice is limited to the one kit I have in the stash: Tamiya T34 with AM goodies and the Russian tank rider figure set.
Cheers

A special campaign just for 1/48 scale? Ooooooo!
No, thank you. All I build is 1/48. And most of the posts of 1/48 armor here get just a few comments, no matter how good it is. I'll stick to the sites that actually pay attention to this scale.

Hey, what's up with the negative waves, man?
the way I figure it you can either complain about low visibility and interest or you can do something about it. Here's your chance!
Cheers!
