Very nice. I remember one time trying to make a bi-plane. I could NEVER get those wings straight. Those colorful planes sure look nice on the shelf though. You have my respect.

Hi Dave
Crikey! You're way ahead of me... :-) a heavy week at work means I've just started my own Albatros DV
She's looking very nice with everything straight and true :-) Looks like a nice wood finish. Are you going to rig her?
I would suggest the tyres should be a much paler grey... some people add yellow or pink to the colour. Apparenty "modern" rubber was only invented after WW1 - hence the different colour.
All the best

Looks good Dave, I don't think I could handle this in 1/72. The plywood fuselage looks particularly well done. Only thing I can say is that the undercarriage looks a little wonky. Just to many struts on WW I aircraft :-)

Looks like you and I are flooding the AoA entries right now, Dave.
I like this little bird. Real good job on the build-up, too. After having just built up 2 1:72 myself, I can appreciate what finicky things they are.

Porky
Yes you are absolutely right about the rubber, but to represent the one at rhinebeck a little better,I painted it black, and there were some black tires at the time,as pics of some aircraft show.

yes, again the accursed struts broke on me but fixed that and the gear is straight and true!
