moss gathers on the north to north-east side
....indeed, you're right about that...mistake of me as I told it was the west side that get the less sunlight. Thanks for notice it

Sean, You're absolutely right about both the Alder (Alnus Glutinosa) as well as about the moss growing on the lee side. 'Elder' was a typo, the moss-thing just plain thoughtless. Thanx for putting that straight. *blush*
Nico: Putty for moss sounds really interesting! Looking forward to that!

Spot on !!! These willows look the part my friend ! Did you airbrush the leaves to avoid color changes later ? Or were they already protected in Joefix' studios ?

They look gret Nico, if maybe somewhat tight on the little base. They´ll provide a great background for whatever you´re planning for the front of the scene!

No, no airbrush...they come straight out of the package...and they are indeed protected by Joefix, against colorfading, against very little animals, so they don't see the product as a meal, ect...
Thanks friend
@-Jba, Thank you also...I also can't wait to work on on the progress...more to come soon.
@-Frank, Yes indeed it's tight at the top...but I like it this way....indeed a nice background

Yo Friends,
Finally some update.
The ditch is "sculpted" with a soldering iron, you have easly control over it, the styro melts nice away when you hit it with the soldering iron. Only one minor thing, it stinks terrible.
Start of the groundwork, mixed some sifted sand with woodglue and water...some little stones and roots are also put into the mix. Now it can dry some day's.
Up to the next

Yo Friends,
Some update on the willows.
The first stage of the grass is added, needs some coloring with the airbrush.
The sides of the base are cut away like you can see. That will give a nicer view when the water is added.
The km pole is not fixed on the base, its need some chipping and pigments first.
First some airbrushing on the grass.
Photos are a bit could...sorry for that.

Yo nico,
Well, just great setting, and very nice color tones.
I'm a bit concerned about the KM pole, maybe it deserves dry-transfers letters instead of hand painted ones?
Anyway, great work, I stay posted for next instalment.
Cheers.

Yo Friends,
Thanks for the fast reply's!
@ Alex- Thanks for the nice words. The signs on the km pole are actually dry decals, fixed on and than peeled of to creat some chipping from the paint underneath.
@Claude-Also you a big thanks, you're right about the colors. Just some green tones to add so I can blend them in with some dust/pigments.
@Nicolas, Thanks mate
Stay tuned!

Yo Mohawk,
Yes indeed, that's possible
The producer of Joefix asked to me if he could use the vignette for the model event in Nieuwegein.

Nice Nico, really dig those branches and the layout of that base. You guys over there sure do have access to some great stuff. I'll have to check for a state side distributor, otherwise the shipping will be triple the itme price, usually. That stuff would sure come in handy. Love all your work posted in KitMaker too, by the way. Rock On Nico!
