Yo Friends,

Okay...a first little update

I fixed some reeds in the ditch, trying to put them close together, this is still in progress. The amount of reeds in the ditch has to build up now, so it will fill up the left corner of the ditch.
On the right side you can see a little bush with some flowers...this is a dry fit test...I like it, in the notice that the flowers will almost cover a lot off space under the willows....what do you think guys??

I am also considering a fence in front of the trees...one like an old barbred wire with some litlle wooden poles...so I create the feeling that the ground after the ditch is part of a field for lifestock.

feedback and comment is welkom!!

I like the barbed wire idea Nico. Maybe a broken string?

Yo Friends,

Update time! I fixed some barberd wire on the setting...the little poles are made from some toothpicks that I sanded of with a hoobyknife.
Painted the grass in some green tones, added some different pigments to the road and the line between the grass and road, grass and ground/earth.

Next on, more blending of the vegetation to the groundwork!

Yo Friends,

Next update, vegetation and blending is done...except the water in the ditch.
For that I used the vallejo still water. I made a good sealing on the edges of the base with glass plate and with two good clamps. After applying the first coat and after a 24 hours of drying...the water has shrink a lot...I think it will need a layer of four before it is done.

Notice that the grass in some places has to be redone...the grass has absorping some water...not a good sight now...refix that later on.

Some pics with a dryfit test for the figies...the little boy has to be change a lot...he must have a fishing line in his hand..that's for later.

Feel free to comment!

Hi Nico,
It looks great, very realistic! Are you going to add the figures to the base? How do you paint the grass?

This is great work and I can't wait to see some more photos with the figures done. So much detail in such a small diorama.

Hi Nico - this is coming together fantastically. Nice and tight scene and allows practice of the vegetation - giving me ideas & inspiration to try something like this.

Your right, there is no website...you have to find a modelstore near you and order it from there out. There is a list with the vendors on the Joefix site.

Yo Friends,

Update...a little one...very little one...

I poured one some 4 layers of the still water from vallejo...after a few days drying I removed the clamps and the protecting paper...and I looked good...very good...some very minor touch up was needed on the base. I sprayed the base in a gloss varnish...Only thing I have to do on the base is touch up a bit of the grass...some grass have absorbing some still water.

Only one pic....

Later on the figies will follow...

And where are the figgies ??

Yo Friends,

Little update,

Started with the figies, after the basecoat I started with the fases...not easy for me...

For the kid I fixed a fishline from coperwire...That will give the scene a lot more action...

More to come soon
