Congratulations to the winners,
all who entered did some outstanding work.
I don't remember ever pulling in 693 vote for any contests, so hopefully the new system will continue to work so well.

well that's what the software is telling me, it is surprising but I don't have any other figures to go on, so it will be interesting to see how the figures develop over the next few months.
I will put it down to the more exposure I have given the contest
cheers

Thanks to everyone who voted for my Firefly, and to Keith for organising the competition. It's great so many people voted and it goes to show how opinions vary: the tank I would have voted for (If I hadn't voted for my own

) didn't make the top three.
There was a 12 month hiatus in the middle of building this model as I was studying on a part-time university course (as well as working full time) for an additional qualification, so modelling had to take a back seat while I did that.
I'm as happy building out of the box as I am adding lots of aftermarket parts (I believe each style has its own pros and cons), but on this occasion I added everything I could to make the model as accurate as I could. I used formations turret (with thickened cheek armour) and resin barrel, Aber photo etch, stowage from Legend and Ultracast and the figure is from Ultracast also.
It's blogged
here for those that are interested.
Thanks again everyone. It really made my day when I saw I'd won! I got a third place 3 years or so ago, but have never won any kind of modelling competition previously.

Well done to all, and congrats to the winners. Once again, the overall standard was very high and it's encouraging to see such a large voting "turnout".

I think the new voting mechanism is also a winner this time. Hope to see more and more votes every month.
