Dave B,
Send me your address and I will send you a set of Tamiya M1046 doors for free.
Your vehicle either depicts a Marine M1043 or M1044 depending of wether or not it mounts a winch.
M1043 armament carrier, supplemental armor, without winch
M1044 armament carrier, supplemental armor, with winch
The armor configuration is the same on the M1043, M1044 and M1046. Winch and weapons is what changes the model numbers. So, the doors from the Tamiya M1046 kit is what you need and I have a set I can send you.
Let me know if I can help.

Sorry for the long delay in updates. Life has been very busy as of late combined with me being recently involved in a motorcycle accident sure didn't help the model's progress any. I'm doing good with a banged up right leg, but the plus side is I've been home for two weeks on the couch......so I moved all my modeling stuffs into the living room and got to spend some "quality time" with the model. The Sept 18 show is coming quickly and I'm feeling the preasure a bit.
I've started work on the base and it should be done this weekend, complete with minature sound system in the bottom.
I spent several days and finally got all the figures painted and now mounted into the vehicle. Here are the results.

I still have a littl emore detail work do on them, espeecially with their faces. Any tips for good 'eyes'?
Here is the slung AT4 rocket that hangs behind Evan and Trombly:
More updates soon as I hope to finish in the next few weeks.

Got to work on the diaorama base today. I'm using an off the shelf 'shadow box' for the main base. On the inside back edge, I have mounted my mini powered speakers and MP3 player with velcro so I can easily remove them to recharge them.
I have removed the bottom completely and added silicone 'feet' to allow fo the sound from the speakers to escape through the bottom. It works quite well. I then created a custom plaque using a graphics program and afixed it to the front.
It works amazingly well and you can clearly hear the MP3 playback!!! I will make a Youtube video of it and post it up.
I will be using the glass as the 'vehicle base' and will be using celuclay and paint to creat a small desert scene.
I hope to be finished this project in the next 2 weeks as the show I want to enter it in is on Sept 18th.

thats a great idea with the mp-3 player! hope to see this finished! though the eyes look a little big? The black seems to stand out a little much. I have this problem with my figures too!

The tricky part with eyes is not to make them too obvious, i.e. white with black. It often results in this surprised and/or cross-eyed look. I usually paint a dark brown or blue vertical line, then cover it up horizontally until just a dot is left and add shade to the eye sockets. It is not necessary to add the white or a pupil imo. I hope this makes sense, english not being my first langugage.
Otherwise, this is a great build, I enjoyed watching it!

Yes the eyes and the faces will get some re-work and more detail in the next few days. Thanks for the tips!

Base is complete! Considering this was my first time using Celuclay, I am very happy with my results.

FINISHED!!!
I can't believe this build is done (only took 10 months). I would first and foremost like to thank the very helpfull and knowledgable community on this forum!! Your input and assistance is what made this build possible and I very much appreciated all the help and generosity shown to me by people here. I thank you all.
Now, on to the completed build (and just in time for the Sept. 18 model show!).

Great looking Humvee. I'm trying to get one done too. Trying to replicate Brad's ride just as you have done. Hope mine turns out half as good as yours.
