Damn, Sven... you sure are prolific
You really do great ground work. This one is looking interesting already
What is this 1/72 Staghound kit, by the way?

Thanks Hisham!!!
Hopefully it will be ok once done...
The kit is RPM's Staghound and it's pretty ok but there will be some
need for a few modifications I'm afraid...
Thanks for your comments Hisham!!!

Excellent groundwork buddy!
Thanks Alexander!!!
It was a quicky that turned out pretty good. I always wanted to do something
with height and this has been lurking in the back of my head for some time.

Due to the fact that my diorama "Downhill Dilemma" is concidered to be a
copy of the fantastic work of Gunnar Baeumer I have removed all the pics
and links to the work I've done so far...
According to the e-mail I recieved from mr. Baeumer it IS a copy and he is
very sad about it so I only do what is right...
I hope you all understand.
That's all from me and Happy modelling!!!
Best Regards
Sven-Åke

HI Sven-Ake, Why would Mr. Baeumer care if your Dio looked similar to his? Personally I'd be flattered..........Vince

As this is not the Mona Lisa I would have thought that "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" applies, and unless you try to pass your work off as Gunnar Baeumer work then its a case of no harm no foul.

Hello,
Did you really copy his work? If yes, his works has a special "Copyright" or not?

Özgür the Mona Lisa can be replicated by anyone down to the finest detail, and it is perfectly legal as long as you don't try to advertise it as the genuine article. You can even replicate the original signature again as long as you don't try to pass it off as the original. Sven carry on with your diorama.

I don't understand...i can't believe what I read. If anybody builds a scene with a sherman in a garage then I can't build a diorama with a sherman in a garage?

hi Sven
Can you send me a set of the pictures so that I can create a proper On Display feature of your work as it is what it fully deserves.
cheers

Hi!
I think you are overreacting on this Sven-Åke.
I saw the post on Missing-Links and Im surprised that someone thinks you have copied it. It is simply not that original and I have seen the same layout before. It is not uncommon for ideas to develop individually or you both can have something unrelated that inspried you both to a similar idea.
I have no problem myself of borrwing an idea if I can make my own version, add something or even make it better.
Cheers

It´s always very sad to remove images because of "stealing ideas". (or not)
I think this will always be the case when someone is modelling WW2 scenes or some other well known and often used scenes!
That is unavoidable!
So a comparison would be a good choice to see differences and same parts.
Perhaps, this will help you both.
Ideas are often the same by different people!
greetings...

I think this Gunnar person is silly for claiming the right to a dio setting.
Can someone post a link to this Gunnar's dio in question so we can maybe understand his reasoning?
Sven, I hope you reconsider and just forget about this person's complaint.

I don't get it either. How can you be "copying" his dio and he be all upset and tell you to remove the images. He doesn't own a copyright on the idea. You are building a dio of what you want. Too bad if it is similar to his. I would politely tell this Gunnar guy to go F#*K himself.
Stand up for yourself and repost the images. What do you care what Gunnar thinks?

Thanks for posting the link, Janne.
I still don't think that doing the same general setting should be considered "copying".
Sven, repost the pics and forget about that guy's silliness.

Mankind is condemned to reinvent the wheel over and over again, so what‘s the news?
So I am asking myself if this is some kind of PR stunt, from a guy called Grunnar I have never heard of before nor seen anything.
My Dad use to say " Put your money were your mouth is !" so having had a glimpse of Sven‘s dio, I wonder were Gunnar‘s is hiding his ? Produce the body, or you don‘t have a case!
And Sven, please just put your pics back online and let other people grow up and have a life !

I don´t think I could do that ... well not politely anyway.
I cannot understand the audacity of some people to claim that this is an original idea and it can´t be copied. How many downhill dios have I seen in the last few years? Which of these has been copied?
I had seen both .. before this happened ... and although I could see the similarity ... it never struck me for one second that it was copied.
It might be more to do with fear .... that a 1/72 similar dio can looks as good ... if not better.
Put up your images again Sven-Åke. You´ve every right to show "your" work.

I'm just trying to figure out the logic here.
Does that mean no one can ever build another diorama or vignette featuring a vehicle, on a hill, with groundwork, ever again?
Maybe we need a "going downhill, featuring a vehicle, with groundwork, and with a beverage theme" for a new Campaign.
Hey how about one with "a vehicle going up hill, with groundwork and a beverage theme"?
Maybe we need to require one of those hard to find "British with a tea cup figures" or the equally rare and original "German pointing" figures.
Personally I'd repost my work just to p^SS a few others off, with a hearty kiss my ^SS attitude.

Hey guys, I have an idea! Why don't we start a "DOWNHILL DIORAMA" CAMPAIGN?!
