Thanks for the news Tim.
Nobody get excited, though. I knew those sprues looked familiar. So I dug in my stash until I found a little black and white box.
My wife is Polish and I love the Poles; I buy any WW II Polish vehicles ever made and Polish markings for any others that qualify.
This Mirage kit is a clunky straight repop of the equally clunky old Encore kit, which is a repop of an even older kit from some company in Poland called Certi. This was their kit 3501 and AFAIK there was no 3502.
It is typical early 90's Eastern European molding. Soft detail, thick parts, thicker attachment points. I hate to naysay a "new release" but I'm just providing information so others can be informed consumers.
With a lot of work, some TLC, and scratchbuilding it can be made presentable but be prepared...
This model, in the Encore box, typically goes for $5 at a show vendor. Vendors often give them away, but never to a kid, because you wouldn't want to do that to an innocent kid.

Yeah....I got this kit from Squadron several years ago. I built it.... but I could have pulled my hair out! Not a great kit. Although listed as 1/35 scale I felt it was more like 1/38 or 1/40.
It does look like they cleaned the molds up a bit and the sprue attachment points don't look quite as thick. Mirage have also added nerw decals.
This is definitely not a kit for a beginner!
Just my couple of cents worth.
Jeff

I don't think this is one I'm going to rush out to buy.
I still have one started about 5 years ago.

Good choice Matthew, my congratulations. We love you to. ;P
Well, I can only confirm Matthew oppinion about the model. This sprues were also boxed by the "AGA" company, so if you find them somewhere don't get exited.
The problem of the model's dimmension is because none of the original wz.34 survived the war so there was no chance to take the measuring tape and work out proper sprues. In the last couple of years, say 8-9, some of the original plans came up to the sun light but it's still nothing special. I'm affraid we'll have to live with that.

Iīve bought mine at a convention two weeks ago - the company label on the box says "Toga"... it seems, the history of the kit is more interesting and complex, than that of the original vehicle.
For only 4 I couldnīt resist. Fortunately my Version is missing that horrible machinegun-sprue - I suspect, itīs supposed to be for the German version.
The kit is not too bad, Iīve seen and built worse. The title of the topic however seems to be a bit misleading - thereīs obviously nothing new here, aside from the decals and the box art.

That's very disappointing, Matt, but thanks for the heads up. EW vehicles help to make interesting dioramas, so I'm bummed about this.
