No thanks Andy thanks for the thought tho.

Just about done really I finished the gas can holder which I have seen if about 4 different versions.

tried to make it look like the spot weld deal.

I might redo the leg mounts on the 50 cal though.

Hard to get them that far out as to the seats.

I think all brass would be better will see.

Good deal as plastic a little rod glue sand and repaint the hole and re drill.

Turned the 50 cal mount around.

Painted the seats so getting ready for the Base.

Yahoo

I am looking for any plans on a 50 cal ammo tray mount.

Only one I can find for sale is $50.00

Thanks

Well got that pesky back on.

Also got some straps in case some are needed.

More paint.

Now need to start a base.

Big long base.

Only thing is I think Dragon has the rear seat to far forward, hard to make and apply the two hooks that hold up the rear part of the back seat.
Might have to move it back a tad.

I did decide to go with the Kit tow pintle and save a few bucks even though John's would be way better, but still need the $50.00 for the 50 cal gun cradle and ammo tray.

There was/is a member on here called Sam Kid I believe who was making in resin various items in 1/6th scale for a release he was working on, I also believe he was in the USA. I am sure if you manage to contact him you could come to some deal or other for any equipment you want that he has already made. He also had a thread in here somewhere that showed pictures of his work, he does/did some very good work.

Bummer Darren and you had me drooling already.

John does stuff but mostly tanks.

There are sites that have 1/6 scale stuff plenty of stuff.

But PE is not one and when found a sheet can run $50.00 to $80.00 easy.

So what do you all say about the seats?

And well Including John Dave Dibb from the UK is about well the best on this stuff.

You should check out his builds gifted in the use of plastic for masters and well the Guy from Nevada who is originally from the UK Mike Stannard.
So most are British it seems

Getting down to the wire now.

Started base.

The rear shaft has to be cut down as the wheels stick out.

Jeep going together.

The spot on the hood is the Future drying very humid here all week, well all summer in Oklahoma

Tide marks are the oil filter drying should be gone by now.

Front two seats not glued in yet.
Top of the 50 cal mount will have to wait until I receive the mount this week.
Should be a good deal and will start the Gun soon.

Gear coming for the interior.
On to the decals

Looking good Jef, On the 50 I used the DML M2, with the armorpax cradle mount on my last M4 sherman. You can also see some of the mods that I made to the DML 50 to improve upon it. https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/143045&page=1

Thanks John off to look at it now.

One heavy thing this mount.

Still stuff to add to yours but just about ready.

Cheers and have a great 4th.

Okay so you say the ammo box not for WW2?

Well I need to order at least two and one that opens.

Nice job I see you used the rear mount and front will do that also.

Thanks Thomas.

Well starting the weathering.

Will lighten it back up when I shoot a flat coat at the end.

Had to move one leg as hit the back of the Passenger seat I thought I checked but guess not oh well.
Good now.

Nice work Jeff, she's almost there. Yes Jeff, the DML ammo cans are Post WWII. The post WWII ammo cans have flat sides and are hinged at the one end and are locked at the other. The lock opens up and can be used as a dust guard that protects the ammo belt as it feeds into the M2. The lid also swings outward towards the one end. These cans appeared around the late 1950's and into the Vietnam era, they are still used today.

The WWII ammo cans have stamped pressed sides, and a hinged lid that opens up to the sides rather than the ends. The lids locking mechanism is also very different than the Post WWII versions. The locking mechanism used a hinged flap that secures a wire handle that is attached to the lid. a grenade type pin locks the whole system together The can's lid was also a more elaborate pressing complete with a collapsing handle, and a two 50.cal round silhouettes pressed on either side of the handle.

RNGATA on the SAG board sells solid resin ammo cans. for a functional one you need to find the ammo can from the action figure company DID. The ammo can is all brass, and is
100% functional like the real one. My supplier of the cans dried up, perhaps Monkey depot might have one or two on stock. as for the ammo belt Toy soldier brigade has the cloth DID 50.cal ammo belt in stock, [url=http://www.toysoldierbrigade.com/[/url]

as for the Mirror I found them at a local craft store, but Michaels or AC more might have them in stock.

Thanks John have one coming from DID open can and WW2 style.
I have the Ammo belt already bought back a few months ago.
I have one in the garage that I keep my Russian ammo in but a tad large even for this scale.

Will look for the mirror I wonder if a stick on Mylar type?

I hope to get all of this blended soon as looks not to blended.
I know a flat coat will even up it up.
And knock down any over applying of stuff from me.

I did because I thought I checked all the seats I did not I guess. so moved an arm around no problem all painted and seat in.

Cheers
