I hope it will be a good build any idea on the engine and where to get one?
As I know none in the kit.
Also who does lights in this scale?
I guess could try and heat some over something to get clear lenses.
Thanks and enjoy I know I must clean the table up to get this beast on it.

Make a build log won’t you? I’ll subscribe to it for sure.
I’ve plans to buy one myself and convert it into a Danish version with the 106mm recoilless rifle.

Well it shipped yesterday FedEx says will have it by Thursday and at 10 plus pounds should be a good deal indeed.
So here comes the build but nothing like The Armorguy.
Dang he has some killer builds going on.
Cheers

Arrived Today and all I can say is wow is this thing big as heck.
Lucky I built another cabinet as no room for this thing any where.
A good deal if you want something a little larger to build.
To me so far worth the $99.00 bucks to get it.
Good deal Dragon.

Will do but raining this weekend so no outside ones.
As I have compared it to the real thing Dragon did there work on this kit.
I kind of felt like I stole it as free shipping on anything over $99.00 must of cost a good penny to ship from California to OK.
10 plus pounds FedEx.
I could imagine how much to say New York or Florida.
If you have room go get one before the first shipment is gone.
Packed excellent and no damage even from the FedEx crew.
You will not be out nothing.
But as said it is large.
A 1/35 scale jeep would fit on the hood .
Now only if Dragon would take one of their Sherman's say the Normandy and make a 1/6 scale kit out of it and keep the price around $400.00 would be all over it.

First 10 pics more tonight or tomorrow.
Jim's server is slow today.
Only thing there might be a slight bow at the windshield glass but after gluing into frame I think no problem.
I see none on either the chassis or upper body as of yet.
Enjoy

Holy moly is that box HUGE! Damn What the heck! 10 plus pounds? Apparently it'll cost 19 bucks to ship it here!!! I wish I lived in the US sometimes.
The model does look cool; I don't know where I'd display such a large model if I ever completed it.

Thanks for putting the measuring tape beside the sprues; it really gives you the sense of scale

Build yourself a cabinet to store it and other models of this size.
Easy to do really.
And I would be willing to show how to.

Okay so I moved all the files to a new folder and of cause Photo bucket said would break the image.
So all new now and will keep them all in the Same folder from now on.
A few things that will need fixing along the way.
Basically the same as building any kit except More to do in seams and such.
I have decided the Valve stems will go and replace with brass rod also will refine the springs some more.
The u-joints undecided if I should try and make some with the caps and bolts.
Will add some brass rod I think on the spring bolts as not satisfied with molded on ones.
There is a gap in the rear pumpkin no big deal really .
Well here goes Tires need more sanding but right before I get ready to wash and paint.
So far so good spent about 1 and half hours to get this far letting all the glue dry.
I know will add the brake lines and such adjustment holes and those little doodads.
Enjoy.
New today.
One thing Dragon forgot to put a part on the instruction sheet no big deal the rear wheel cover no number back to it but easy to see where they go.
But have to keep an eye on the instructions as they are good at reversing numbers.
Not yet but I will dry fit all before assembly.
Painting will be a large deal as this has to be the biggest thing except maybe the Flak that I have ever painted.
Enjoy the weekend.
Might be out of town tomorrow so no work on this thing maybe.

Well Jeff, you managed to push my button . . . . ordered one of these this morning. $92 including shipping. Why do I do this to myself? I've already got nearly 650 kits in the stash and I'm pushing 60. Next thing you know I'll be and my wife will have to sell them all to you guys on fleabay for half price or less. I'm an idiot.
Whew, glad I got that out of my system. Man, this looks sweet. I'll be following your painting process closely. My dad had one of these that he picked up as post-war surplus I think. Repainted(?) it yellow and put a Mack bulldog hood ornament on it. There was a canvas removeable cover for the back and an uncomfortable bench seat as I recall. I was just a little kid. Wish there were some pictures of it because I don't remember tools hanging on the side, just a short collapsible shovel of some kind.

Well Rick look at it this way you paid $7.00 less then I did.
And I am close to pushing 60 myself so what the heck.
Well a little done on the rear.
Bolt head left off until I do the brake line then have to add the clamp.
Hard to find any underneath pictures of the Jeep.

Thanks, Jeff. I feel much better about the purchase now. I'll take that $7 and maybe be able to buy a small coffee at Starbucks with it.
Check out this link for some photos of a '43 being restored. Might be of some help on the undercarriage.
