Thanks for the help everyone. I think the bracket will hide everything well when the tracks are on.
Here's a photo of the tank with the kit tracks on, and yes, everything else is still dry fitted:
And taking Rob's advice I made my first retaining strap and after a few tries I got it to look alright.
Lastly, I used one of the Tahk figures to see how it would look and I think I can shave off some details or paint it in a mismatched uniform to represent the crews that manned them during the conflict.
Here are some photos to give a little perspective:
Well thats all for now. More straps tomorrow and then minor details that the upper hull is missing and then the fuel lines.
Any comments are welcomed as usual
Lastly, can anyone post photos of Russian Camo used during the conflict by either the Russians or Chechens
Thanks!
Sean

I'm finally back with this project. I have only been able to do some research for upcoming projects but now I finally have some time to build. What is more important is my latest acquisition:
Voyager's Sideskirts
Commander's Shield
Basic Update set
So hopefully I will get some work done tonight or tomorrow and go from there.
And this is what the mail man delivered yesterday
Thanks for looking and I can wait to get back to work on this project!

Pleased you are returning to this Sean! Its looking really good so far and im very eager to see how those etch sets turn out. I was going to buy them for mine, but decided to use them on another build instead as I think all the tiny details will be lost in my overall diorama.
I really must get back to my build, just waiting on some masterclub tracks.

I've been working slowly but surely and will be posting updates soon. The concept has changed a tad but with the new Evolution miniatures set coming out It has definitely made for a much more interesting and exciting project.
Also, can anyone post some links for soldering PE? Seems as if this is the only way the fenders are gonna stay together

Great work, I really hope you incorporate that Grozny sign in Cryllic somehow. That will look awesome.
As for soldering can't help there, I've only ever glued mine. I find accelerators and a bit of patience usually serve me well enough.
