Hi guys
this is an Italeri staghound built pretty much straight out the box.
Instead of doing anything fancy I just went with a traditional finish, aiming for as much realism as possible.
stowage is mostly built from magicsculp with a couple of resin bedrolls.
thanks for looking
Jon

New pics with the base:
still got LOOAAAADS to do before its finished... and I have just one more night to finish before the deadline
cheers

Jon, I think it looks great. I really like how the trees and grass came out, and my 7 year old daughter said it looks "cool".

Jon, yet another great model and base! Your videos are one of my primary resources for finishing techniques, and it always helps to see how you've applied the techniques to your newest model.
I'd also love to see how you make your trees. It looks like sagebrush and sea foam, but how do you make the foliage?
Michael

Hey guys,
I forgot to post the finished pics ! I will do that in a sec.
First of all - the foliage is a mix of stuff. The tree uses leaves from Noch, now I'm not so sure if you can get those any more, I assume so.
The other stuff is general flock type stuff, ground foam, ground cork. I use a bit of stuff from Treemendus, the granulated cork stuff is theirs. It looks pretty good, sometimes you can tell it's not leaf shaped but only when you catch it at a funny angle.
The tree itself is indeed, I believe, sage brush but I wouldn't know for definite as the roots were gifted to me all of five years ago when I first joined Armorama! They were a gift from my good friend Paul Rains who I met on here and who encouraged me into modelling.
Everything in between is a long story
here are the final pics of how it turned out
