Beautiful work on this! It's hard to believe that it's "braille scale". It looks like it just rolled off of the battlefield. I wish I had the talent to pull off this kind of detailing and weathering. Truly great work!
Could you please tell me what colors you used to paint the Russian green? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Dani

It feels good so far but there's still a bit left to do before I can relax and call it finished...

Thanks very much Jeff

I'm so glad you like it, big thanks!!!

The green is Vallejo Russian Green with various amounts of Flesh mixed in. I have no exact ratios for the mix as I did them on the fly...

Thanks Sonny!!!

I'm pretty interested too to see how it will look with some figures and other bits and pieces. I'm trying to find figures that will give the diorama a slight twist so once they're found and given the poses that I'm looking for I will post some new pics...

Cheers!!!

I've added some Milicast figures just to see if they will work. I am thinking about entering this vehicle in the single vehicle classes in the coming competitions instead of the diorama classes so I feel that I won't need to put a lot of effort into the interaction of the figures. Instead I think standard poses will work...

Any comments or ideas?

Cheers

Sven-Åke,

Maybe change the soldiers' positions such that it looks as if the "officer" on the ground just banged on the side of the hull and the crew has just opened the hatches to see what he wants... possibly add a "swagger" stick to the officer's hand.

Brilliant!

To pull it off I only need to change the heads of the tank crew to look a bit downwards and perhaps replace one arm on the officer and adding such a stick. It shouldn't be too hard to pull off and it would make the scene blend in with the title perfectly!

I'll start cutting off some heads right away

So now I've changed the heads and started on a new arm for the officer but I still feel there's something missing to make the connection between the scene and the title "Knock Knock"...

Any more ideas?

Cheers

Perhaps it will be to much? But you could have the frame of a door, with whats left of the door in it, hangin on the gun barrel?

It can never be too much as long as it does not look cluttered or in any other way looks badly planned.

I think your idea is very good indeed and I have also collected ideas from here and there so what I have so far is the following:

• Angry dog biting at the tracks
• A bicycle that has been run over
• An outhouse that's been almost tipped over by the gun
• A broken pigeon cage where the pigeons now sit on the barell
• A few angry residents complaining about the mayhem

I think your idea will be perfect if used with the outhouse...

Thinking Cap On!

Sven-Åke,

I like the outhouse idea, too!

Maybe you could incorporate the soldiers' gold, rolls of toilet paper, somehow...

Not sure it could be done in 1/72 but it's a good idea with the toilet rolls.

I will give it a try, if it works it will be a very nice detail.

So here's my version of the outhouse...

The trouble is that I will have a hard time fitting it on to the base since there's not enough space left and the tank is glued permanently so back to the drawingboard

Cheers

OK so finally I got the outhouse in place...

Besides the outhouse there will be a german soldier sneaking out into safety from the outhouse. There will also be a bicycle parked nest to the outhouse and I will attempt to do a rolled out toilet roll that the poor german soldier dropped when he escapes...

I hope you like it so far...

Sven-Åke
