Nice idea and welcome to us!!!
That´s something different to the other WW2-dioramas.
There is a lot of action in the scene and the third image shows the... surprise.
Great work!
greetings...

As much as I admire detail and the lengths some go to for accuracy, there is still a place for dios like this. As already said, its a pleasant break to have a fun dio. Too far in any direction will get stale very quickly. Nice one Narongkorn.

Hi!
I really like the layout and poses of US soldiers.
Good idea for diorama (don't worry if your diorama makes sense or not... as long as it is SF you are free to do whatever you want - I'm building a diorama with WH soldiers and a vampire now, so T-Rex is not so strange after all )
Keep safe.

There is one important piece missing:
In the TV show the T-Rex is always trying to eat a scantily clad, well-"build" blonde that is running away
So, where is she?

I have to agree with lestweforget, he has a T-rex in his dio Some people need to get a hobby!
In Gino's case, get a life!

Na, that's against the rules (And we agreed it's a german T-Rex so he'll follow the rules ). The rules clearly state that the monster only eats some guards, the mad genius who brought it there/to life and maybe, just maybe, the heros sidekick. But never the blonde, it's bad for the ratings

Wow great advice.
I didn't know we were all supposed to give only atta boys and on here now. Why can't a whimsical dio be given constructive comments as well? You might as well get the real elements of the dio right. I would understand it better if it were Godzilla in Tokyo, but the Germany part just doesn't work for me.
It sure is funny how some people get all bent out of shape when its not even their dio being criticised.

Sorry Matt, but i think this was not necessary.
Gino's point of view is his opinion and well supported by constructive comments. That's what the board is meant for.
As soon as i saw the T-Rex , the dio was ranged in a completely different reasoning and i am not thinking twice about anything. Gino saw it a bit more seriously , that's fine to.
Anyway, i am sure the builder does not understand a lot of the discussion because of language problems, so let's not get carried away with this.
Happy modeling
Claude
Hope you don't mind my intervention as conciliator

I really like this in a strange way. It's like a '50's monster movie & makes a total change. Have to say I don't think I would have come up with it.
Well done on making us smile

Me thinks that this one started out as your usual diorama hence the dead German soldier. Then came the idea to change it into something bizarre and funny. I think it is another welcome change. Wish I had thought of it. Of coarse there will be some folks who might question how many teeth that dino should have or if maybe the length of the toes is wrong. ......Al

Anyone remember "Joe Bob Briggs Drive-In Theater" that used to air on The Movie Channel in the 80s and 90s? This reminds me of a movie he would have shown. Two things I really like - the colors of the T-Rex and the cat calming walking around one of the rooms. The oddity of the cat makes me chuckle.

I think this dio is fabulous! Very refreshing change of pace! I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future. Your painting and eye for more realistic detail will only improve the more you model. That being said though, The in-accurate details like the ammo belt coming out the .50 cal, just add to the overall silliness. How many old war movies or creature features have we seen with those kinds of details and goofs in them.

I've been guilty of fun projects myself so i can appreciate this one. I'm doing Federal Zombie Response Teams at the moment...and to get geared up for the End of Days Campaign.
I'm going to echo Gino on the Jeep. It just seems a bit out of place. Maybe move the Jeep to a place along the guard rail or even against the side of the building like the T-Rex swatted it to the side. Maybe place a few firing soldiers behind the creature. Just a suggestion....and thanks for sharing.

Fantastic! Sure put a smile on my face
Ignore the naysayers. "Why is a T-Rex in a bombed out German town?" Why not!

Mate, i'm not getting bent out of shape. I understand what you you are saying, but it got my back up a bit. Maybe suggesing it could be in a different forum would be better. I admit, it's a great dio, but maybe should be better somewhere else.

Dear fellow-modeller, Please, do allow people to be creative as they like. There has never been, to my opinion, a note in a model box which orders the purchaser to do historical correct dio's. Though there might be some remarks to be made to his work, it does not give you the right to downsize this dio. Just keep your negative remarks in your head.

Surely there must be a reason for Tamiya doing these dinosaurs in 1/35?
I did this scene a few years ago, but I had Jurassic Park, The lost world, in mind.
Cheers

You can be creative all you want, and have dinosaurs and what not.. but the laws of physics will still apply. Rifles won't just cling to the soldier.. unless, of course, it has some pretty strong velcro patch.
Gino is quite right in his comment about "SMALL DETAILS". Even if you build a dio based on some fantasy... the attention to small details (NOT HISTORICAL ACCURACY) makes the dio look a lot better. Being creative does not mean not paying attention to small details.
Having said that.. I actually like this dio, with dinosaur and all. It's something different and funny, and that's a good change every now and then.

Looks like someone had a whole lot of fun building that diorama !! It was definitely good practise ! Items like the smashed windscreen etc. are great things to know how to for the future.
Sure there are details like weapon slings missing but in future this advice can be taken on board.
For a beginner diorama I love it. It has a lot of elements of a good diorama mindset, like the angular layout and good cohesion of figures.
